Bruce Wellman, from Canada (Fig. 2), conducted First Aid courses for RN (Kenya) Staff. A First Aid Kit was also donated from Canada. Robin and Salvation Army repre- sentative Terri Muendel attended an inspira- tional National Press Club address on “Vulnerable Children and Adoption” by Australian actress Deborra-Lee Furness (Fig. 3). World AIDS Day, a global health day commemorated annually on December 1st, helps people join the fight against HIV/AIDS, shows support for its afflicted, remembers those whose lives have been lost and develops awareness. Visiting Australian Sam Epstein helped to organise kids' Aids Day activities in Jhansi and distributed hygiene packs (Fig. 4). World Aids Day was com- memorated with awareness presentations from YWAM (Youth With A Mission). The children made posters afterward (Fig. 5). In RN (Bungoma) a Volley Ball match was held, and participants donated coins to AIDS research. Before Robin & Grahame visited India last year, Hunter Christian Church provided a lovely donation so children could receive their first-ever school stationery (Fig. 6). Sewing training is starting for young single mums to be apprenticed in Bungoma sewing shops (Fig. 7). We have a call for supporters who can contribute to the apprenticeship costs and, if successful, we will help these girls to start a new job, or their own business, by providing their own sewing machine and gear. We also provide micro- loans to individuals such as farmers for small businesses as funds are available. Nothing could happen without our volunteers and monthly sponsors, and we thank you all.
