TheTRTD7isadigitaleconomysevenprogrammer,givingarangeofpreprogrammedoffpeaktimeperiods,whichareuseradjustabletosuitallprogrammingneeds.

Ithasamanualboostof30,60and120minutes,andalsotheoptionofapreprogrammedboost.

TheTRTD7hasautomaticsummerwintertimechangeasanoption.

Itcanbeusedwithsingle,twinanddualimmersionheaters.

Itissuppliedwithanindustrystandardbackbox,andisinterchangeablewithmostcommonlyfittedeconomysevenprogrammerswithouttheneedforre-wiring.

2. Installation:

TheTRTD7issuppliedwithastandardbackbox,whichcanbeusedifthereisnoexistingbackboxalreadyinstalled.Thenewbackboxmaybescrewedtothewallusingthefittingsprovided.

Theleadsarenumbered1to5,andifdisconnected,mustbereplacedappropriately.

Thereisanoptionalearthterminalforincomingandoutgoingearthcontinuity.

Cablesshouldenterthroughaconvenientknockout,andshouldbesecuredusingthecableclamp.

3. Commissioning:

Contactyourenergysuppliertocheckwhichenergyplanyouareon,andwhethertheoffpeaktimeschangeduringwinterandsummer.

Onthetarifftable,onthereverseoftheproduct(orattheendoftheseinstructions),findwhichprogrammecorrelateswithyourenergyplan.Turntheprogrammeselectortothecorrectnumberfortheprogramme.(ifyouwantaprogrammethatisn'tshownonthetable,selecttheclosesttoyourdesiredprogramme,andthiscanbeadjustedlater).

Onthebackoftheunit,selectGMTonly,orGMTBSTdependingonyourenergyplan.

Screwthefrontoftheunittothebackbox,usingthescrewsprovided.

WiththerockerswitchintheOFFposition,theunitcanbeprogrammed,andtheinternalbatterywillcharge.

WiththerockerintheTIMEDposition,theoutputwillbeaccordingtotheprogramme,ortheappropriateboostperiod.

Duringoffpeakperiods,theeconomylightwillilluminate.

4. Time Entry:PresstheSETbutton.

Clockwillshowonthetopofthescreen,alongwiththehourflashing.

Usethe+and-buttonstosettherequiredhour,andthenpressSELECTtochangetotheminutes.Usethe+and-buttonstosettheminutes,andthenpressSELECTagaintochangetheyear.

Usethe+and-buttonstosettheyear,andthenpressSELECTtosetthemonth.Aftersettingthemonth,pressSELECTtochangetheday.

PressSELECTtoreturntooperatingmode,wherethetimewillbedisplayed,alongsidewinter,orsummer,accordingtotimeofyear,andthewordAuto(Autowillonlybedisplayediftherockerswitchisinthetimedposition).

SummerandwinterwillshowregardlessofthepositionoftheGMT/BSTswitch.

Atanytimeinprogramming,holdingdowneither+or-willscrollmorerapidlythroughthedigits.

5. Reviewing and Editing Programmes:Whenviewingtheoffpeaktimes,thetimesindicatedonthescreenwillbethosechosenduringcommissioning.Thesecanbechangedifrequired.

PressSETtwice.

Offpeakwillbedisplayedonthescreen,alongwiththeontimeforprogramme1.Usethe+or-buttonstochangethehour(flashing)ifrequired.PressSELECTtochangetheminutes.

ContinuepressingSELECTandchangingprogrammedtimesasrequired.

Onceallavailableprogrammeshavebeenreviewed/changed,pressSELECTtoreturntooperatingmode.

Inoperatingmode,AutoorManualwillbedisplayed.Manualisanindicationthattheprogrammesenteredaredifferenttothedefaultprogrammes.

6. Timed Boost:Ifthereisaregularrequirementforhotwateroutsidetheoffpeakperiods,aprogrammedboostcanbeset.Thiswillnotusecheaprateelectricity.

PresstheSETbuttonthreetimes.Boostwillbedisplayed,alongwiththeontime,default12.00PM.

Thehourwillbeflashing.Changethehourusingthe+and-buttons,andthenpressSELECTtochangetheminutes.PressSELECTtochangetheofftime.

FinallypressSELECTtoreturntooperatingmode.

Note:Theboosttimesetwillnotbeactivatedautomaticallyjustbyprogrammingatime.Toactivatetheprogrammedboostperiod,pressSELECTinoperatingmode,andTimedboostwillbedisplayed.

Duringatimedboostperiod,thesurroundoftheboostbuttonwillilluminate.

7. Manual Boost:Themanualboostisoperatedbypressingtheboostbutton.Whentheboostbuttonispressed,thebuttonsurroundwillilluminate.

Boostcanbefor30,60or120minutes.Successivepressesoftheboostbuttonwillscrollthroughthetimeperiods.Thesearedisplayedonthetoprightofthescreen.

Theboosttimeselectedwilldisplaytheremainingtimeoftheboostperiod,andwillcountdowntozero.

Boostcanbecancelledbyrepeatedlypressingtheboostbuttonuntilthereisnoboosttimedisplayed.

Shouldaneconomyperiodstartwithinthedurationoftheboost,thiswilloverridetheboostperiod,usingcheaperoffpeakelectricity.

Duringanoffpeakperiod,withtheeconomylightilluminated,itisnotpossibletousetheboostfunction.

Resetting:

TheTRTD7canberesettofactorydefaultsbypressingandholding+and-simultaneouslyuntilthescreengoesblank,andthenshowsallsegments.

Thetimeanddatemayneedresetting.

Sleep Mode:

Ifpowerisremovedforanyreason,thentheinternalbatterywillpreservetheprogramming,andalsothetime/date.Thescreenwillgoblanktensecondsafterthepoweristurnedoff,topreservethebatterylife.Itcanbewokenupbypressingthe+or-button,orbyreapplyingmainspowertotheunit.
