True Touchpad Interface™The True Touchpad Interface™ (TTI) features a large display screen that is controlled remotely by the touchpad located in front of the center console.

Primary and Secondary AreasBoth the display screen and the touchpad are divided into two areas: Primary and Secondary.

Three shortcut buttons are located along the top row. Use the cards list to select the audio, navigation or clock view.

The Primary touchpad area controls the Primary display.

The Secondary touchpad area controls the Secondary display.

TRUE TOUCHPAD INTERFACE™ GUIDEVoice Commands

Vehicle Voice CommandsThe 2019 RDX features a new onboard natural language voice recognition system, which dramatically improves the ease and intuitiveness of voice commands in the vehicle.

A short push and release of the TALK button on the left side of the steering wheel enables vehicle voice commands. Speak your command after you hear the tone.

Siri Eyes Free Voice CommandsWhen you pair an iPhone®, you can use the Siri® Eyes Free feature.

To access Siri voice commands, push and hold the TALK button for 2 seconds until the main display changes to Smartphone Voice Recognition. Release the button and speak your request/command to Siri. Speak your command after hearing the Siri tone.

Information accurate as of 06-18-18

Helpful TipsTo achieve optimum voice recognition when using the voice control system:

• Close the windows and panoramic roof.

• Adjust the dashboard and side vents so air does not blow onto the microphone on the ceiling.

• Speak clearly in a clear, natural speaking voice without pausing between words.

• Reduce any background noise if possible. The system may misinterpret your command if more than one person is speaking at the same time.

• Note that the vehicle voice command tone sounds different than the Siri® voice command tone.

3

Voice CommandsThere are two types of voice commands in the RDX: vehicle voice commands and smartphone voice-assistant commands.
