Programs/Services Updates Alberta Breast Cancer Screening Program Screen Test is a provincial screening service that works to educate and increase the number of women, aged 50 to 74, who have regular breast cancer screening using mammograms (breast x-ray). Screening is the best way to find breast cancer early, when treatment has the best chance of working. Screen Test, as part of the Alberta Breast Cancer Screening Program (ABCSP), offers mammograms and information on breast health to women in Calgary, Edmonton, and over 120 communities in rural Alberta. This service uses two mobile mammography clinics to ensure eligible women in rural communities are able to get breast cancer screening. These trailers are “clinics on wheels” complete with a reception area, dressing rooms and an exam room. To find out about the Screen Test mobile program, when the trailer will be in your community, or to book an appointment, call toll-free 1-800-667-0604. Women’s Wellness Women’s Wellness clinics continue to be offered as follows: Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays at the LaCrete Ambulatory Care Center from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm Alternate weeks in High Level and Fort Vermillion as required. Call 780-502-9320 for an appointment.
