Facilities maintenance at the Midland Train Station in Sheffield, England were constantly battling the effects of moisture, mold and grime on this structure. TruNano™ Multi-Surface Sealer was applied in February, 2008 to various exterior concrete masonry facades and concrete sidewalks. The picures below were taken one year later. The untreated area of the building is visibly damaged from moisture while the treated areas remain clean and free of damage. Mold and dirt cling to the untreated surfaces, but rinse away easily and do not cling to the treated concrete surfaces. The heavily trafficked red tile and white grout lobby area of the Liaison Hotel in Washington, D.C. was in need of constant cleaning and needed protection. In February 2008, TruNano™ Multi-Surface Sealer was applied with a clean pump sprayer and rolled in with two coats to shield the beautiful tile from stains and water damage. It was ready to walk on in four hours, and fully cured within seven days. Spots on the tile can easily be washed away with environ-mentally friendly cleaners, as opposed to high pressure power washing and harsh chemicals. TRUNANO™ MULTI-SURFACE SEALER

What surfaces can TruNano Multi-Surface Sealer be applied to?

Concrete, brick, cinderblock, limestone, travertine, grout, non-glazed ceramic and porcelain tile, flagstone, concrete pavers, stucco, Metal, natural rock, clay roofing tile, and many other building materials that are porous and do not contain silicone.

What will TruNano Multi-Surface Sealer protect against?

It repels moisture, stains, ice, dirt and mold.

Will TruNano Multi-Surface Sealer change the color or appearance of the sub-strate?

TruNano Multi-Surface Sealer is virtually invisible, and will not change the color or appearance of the original substrate.

Will TruNano Multi-Surface Sealer break down in sunlight?

No. While the color or finish of the substrate below is still subject to oxidation, the sealer will not degrade as a result of UV rays.

Is TruNano Multi-Surface Sealer waterproof?

No, it is a breathable water and stain repellant. It effectively repels water and staIns but allows air to escape.

What surface preparation is required?

Surface must be clean, dry and in sound condition. Remove all oil, dust, grease, dirt, loose rust and other foreign material including the removal of all existing silicon sealers.

How is TruNano Multi-Surface Sealer applied?

It is important to shake the container well before and during application to re-suspend the nano particles before applying. The product is best applied liberally with a 3/8” nap roller using a crisscross pattern and applying downward pressure to push the product into the substrate. A second coat is applied 10 minutes later while the first coat is still slightly wet. This is referred to as a “wet-on-wet” application. The second coat is required to ensure full saturation of the substrate. After application is complete, inspect the surface and remove any excess product. Please refer to the TruNano Multi-Surface Application Instructions for complete instructions.

Do I need to protect the area around the surface being sealed from contact with the product?

Protect surfaces that need to be repainted as it will affect the bond of the new paint. TruNano Multi-Surface Sealer will not harm plants or lawns or put hazardous chemicals into the soil or water. As a general rule, it is best to wipe off overlaps or spills as they occur.

How should TruNano Multi-Surface Sealer be stored? And what is the shelf life?

TruNano Multi-Surface Sealer must be stored between 32 degrees Fahrenheit to 105 degrees Fahrenheit. It cannot be frozen or boiled. Once applied, it can withstand sub-freezing environments and heated to temperatures of approximately 500 degrees. The shelf life is approximately 2 years. What temperature and weather conditions are necessary to apply the TruNano Multi-Surface outside?

TruNano Multi-Surface Sealer must be applied in a dry environment at a temperature above 45 degrees and not more than 105 degrees without the possibility of rain for at least 12 hours. High humidity does not affect the application or performance. Wait until the morning dew has fully evaporated, as the surface must be dry.

How long does TruNano Multi-Surface Sealer need to dry before it can be walked on?

You can actually walk on it during the application process, but after application is complete it is best to wait 5 hours.

How long does the TruNano Multi-Surface need to fully cure?

TruNano sealers and coatings require 7 full days to for the molecules cross-link to a full cure. The surfaces can be used after 24 hours, but use caution to avoid liquid spills and excessive traffic.

Will TruNano Multi-Surface Sealer break down in sunlight?

No. While the color or finish of the substrate below is still subject to oxidation, the sealer will not degrade as a result of exposure to UV rays.

How long will TruNano Multi-Surface Sealer last?

Expect 1 to 3 years of performance under normal conditions. There are many factors that impact the life of the product, such as heavy use or traffic wear, the environment, or the substrate itself. It is recommended to check the performance every year to make certain there has not been a breach in the sealer. If a breach is discovered, simply reapply to that area.

Do I need to strip off TruNano Multi-Surface Sealer in a few years if I want to apply another coat?

No, simply clean the surface and reapply over the last coat; it will repel itself if it is still sealed. There will be no residual build-up.

oil, dust, grease, dirt, and other foreign material. Remove all existing silicone sealers. To determine if the surface is sealed with another coating or curing compound, sprinkle water onto surface. If the water is absorbed and the surface becomes darker it has not been sealed. If the water beads up there is a coating or curing compound that must be removed to allow proper penetration. To remove silicone sealers clean surface with a solution of 80% water and 20% vinegar. Wet surface with water and vinegar solution and let stand 10 minutes. Remove solution and rinse thoroughly with clean water. Flush with fresh clean water and neutralize with a mixture of 50% baking soda and 50% water to bring the pH level to between 7 and 10. Allow surface to dry to 3% or less moisture content. Interior Surfaces Clean surface to remove dirt, dust, grease, oil and loose particles. Remove all surface contamination by washing with a pH neutral cleaner, rinse thoroughly and allow the surface to dry thoroughly. Remove all existing paint. Exterior Surfaces If needed pressure clean surface to remove dirt, dust, grease, oil, loose particles, foreign material, coatings, chalk form release agents, moisture curing membranes, mildew, etc. Allow the surface to dry thoroughly. Concrete and mortar must be cured at least 10 days. On tilt-up and poured-in-place concrete, commercial detergents and sandblasting may be necessary to remove sealers, release compounds, and to provide an anchor pattern. Prepared concrete should have a pH of between 7 and 10. APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS Test Area Due to the wide variety substrates, always test Multi-Surface Sealer in an inconspicuous location to ensure performance. There should be no enhancement or change in appearance to the natural surface. Application Make certain surface has been prepared properly and is clean and dry. If applying outdoors, make certain the ambient temperature is between 45° F and 105° F, and there is no chance of rain for a minimum of 5 hours after the estimated time of completion of the coating process. Also make certain there will be no additional morning dew to make the surface damp again after it has dried. Protect surfaces that may need to be repainted, as it will affect the bond of the new paint. Multi-Surface Sealer will not harm plants or lawns or put hazardous chemicals into the soil or water. When sealing wood surfaces, it is best to apply Multi-Surface Sealer in a warm, dry environment, which opens the wood grain and allows the sealer to penetrate deep into the surface. Shake Multi-Surface Sealer container for several minutes to re-suspend the nano particles that have settled to the bottom. Make certain to re-shake every 15-20 minutes to ensure proper performance. Using a 3/8” nap roller, flood the surface to be sealed with Multi-Surface Sealer and begin to work the sealer into the surface with the roller, exerting downward pressure on the roller to force the product into the surface pores. Apply sealer liberally as each surface pore must be completely filled with sealer for optimal performance. Work the sealer liberally in a cross-pattern; up and down, then left and right repeatedly until sealer puddles up and surface will no longer accept more sealer. Remove excess sealer. Approximately 10 to 15 minutes later, while surface is still wet, repeat this process (wet-on-wet application). Depending on the surface, the second coat may not require as much sealer as the first coat. If any unabsorbed sealer is left on the surface, roll it off an edge or wick it up with a cloth. DRY TIME Drying Time (@ 77 F, 50% RH): Temperature and humidity dependent. Touch: 30 minutes Through: 1 Hour Full Cure: 7 Days INTERRUPTION OF WORK Upon drying, treated surfaces will have a natural appearance closely matching the untreated surfaces. It is possible areas could remain untreated if work is interrupted. It is advisable to stop application on a comer joint or any other obvious marker so the applicator can begin where the application had previously ceased. CLEAN-UP Clean tools and equipment with warm, soapy water and rinse thoroughly. CAUTION Call physician immediately if physical difficulties occur. In the event of contact with skin, wash skin thoroughly with soap and water. Chemical safety goggles or splash shields are recommended. Do not wear contacts without eye protection. Immediately flush eyes with water for 15 minutes after contact and get medical attention. If accidentally swallowed, rinse mouth thoroughly. In case of discomfort, obtain immediate medical attention. CARE & MAINTENANCE To clean, hose off or wipe with a damp cloth. Mild cleaning solutions can be used for counters or other eating surfaces. Do not use high pressure washers as they will break down the sealer over time. Power washing is generally not necessary, but may be used at a setting of 800 PSI or lower to clean rough or irregular surfaces such as split face block or to clean graffiti. A

pistol grip hose nozzle may be adequate should be tried before power washing. After 2-3 years, inspection of the sealed surface is recommended. Test for repellency by placing water on the surface. If the water soaks in, clean and dry the surface, then reapply Multi-Surface Sealer according to application instructions. It is not necessary to strip off existing sealer. New application will cover any areas where sealer has worn away. LIMITED WARRANTY Evolution Surface Solutions guarantees TruNano™ Multi-Surface Sealer to be defect free and any material that is proven to be defective will be replaced in a like quantity by the manufacturer within 1 year of date of purchase with proof of purchase, and provided it has been applied according to the instructions on this container along with other related guidelines posted at evolutionsurfaces.com. This warranty only extends to the owner of the property upon which the product is applied and is non-transferable. Any warranty claim must be made in writing and sent to Seller with supporting materials and access to the property for inspection and testing as requested by Seller. Seller will thereafter provide replacement product for product found to be defective. This warranty is given in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. What will TruNano Polished Stone Sealer protect against?

It repels moisture, stains, dirt and mold.

Will TruNano Polished Stone Sealer change the color or appearance of the stone?

No. TruNano Polished Stone Sealer is virtually invisible, and will not change the color or appearance of the original stone.

Will TruNano Polished Stone Sealer break down in sunlight?

No. While the color or finish of the substrate below is still subject to oxidation, the sealer will not degrade as a result of exposure to UV rays.

Is TruNano Polished Stone Sealer waterproof?

No, it is a breathable water and stain repellant. It effectively repels water and stains but allows air to escape.

What surface preparation is required?

Surface must be clean, dry and in sound condition. Remove all oil, dust, grease, dirt, loose rust and other foreign material including the removal of all existing silicon sealers.

How is TruNano Polished Stone Sealer applied?

It is important to shake the container well before and during application to re-suspend the nano particles before applying. Pour a liberal amount onto the surface of the stone. Take a soft terry towel or cotton rag and using a circular motion rub the product into the surface until the surface is completely saturated. Wipe off any excess. Wait 10 minutes and apply a second coat using the same technique until the surface is completely polished with no residue. Polish to a shine.

Do I need to protect the area around the surface being sealed from contact with the product ?

No, you don’t need to mask areas off unless you don’t want them sealed. TruNano Polished Stone Sealer will not harm plantlife or put hazardous chemicals into the soil or water. As a general rule, it is best to wipe off overlaps or spills as they occur.

How should TruNano Polished Stone Sealer be stored? And what is the shelf life?

TruNano Multi-Surface Sealer must be stored between 32 degrees Fahrenheit to 105 degrees Fahrenheit. It cannot be frozen or boiled. Once applied, it can withstand sub-freezing environments and heated to temperatures of approximately 500 degrees. The shelf life is approximately 2 years.
