From the Editor Depending upon where you live, spring has either arrived early or not at all as we have reached the middle of March. (For those in the southern hemisphere, summer is just coming to an end and spring, I do realize, couldn’t be farther away.) Either way, a change is coming. An opportunity to press the refresh button. An opportunity to take a very deep breath, and release any past worries, past doubts and stand confidently at the beginning of a new journey that is the new season. And while clothes don’t solidify any dream from materializing, they certainly do set the right tone, put us in the right frame of mind and offer a support that reminds us we are worthy of any dream we wish to achieve. Whether that means dressing casually, yet every so chic and simple, or elegant and très feminine for a special occasion, dressing can be quite fun and enjoyable when we have the right elements in our closets. As a long time reader of Shannon's blog I have been looking forward to a book from her for years. I will say that her debut book did not disappoint! I was expecting a rehash of many of her blog posts, as many blog-authors do, but her book was far from a rehash. I found the topics organized well and the view-points refreshing. Many of the chapters offer checklists that I will be referring to often. She also speaks to you on a level that a well-traveled, well-versed friend would, which honestly I am missing in my in-person life. There is so much great information contained in this book, it could easily have been spread over 2 or 3 books. This book would be a great gift for somebody graduating high school, college, starting in a new relationship or starting any kind of new chapter in their life. I am already looking forward to re-reading several chapters and following through on Shannon's advice. -Carrie
