As well as being one of the leading UK providers in temporary works training, Thomas Telford Training is now an accredited Site Safety Plus training provider of the Temporary Works Co-ordinator Training Course (TWCTC).

The course was launched by the CITB in response to recent efforts to tighten procedural control on temporary works projects, whereby the construction industry issued a mandate that all Temporary Works Co-ordinators are to hold CSkills certifi cation.

Delivered across 2 days, the course is designed to assist those on site who have responsibility for managing all forms of temporary works. It is also designed to give confi dence to senior management and those who engage contractors. Participating delegates will reach an assessed standard of knowledge and be awarded a CSkills Site Safety Plus Certifi cate on successful completion.

The course has the support of a number of organisations: CITB, Temporary Works Forum CECA, UKCG, HSE and FMB, making it transferable across industry.

    HOW WILL YOU BE AWARDED?

A CSkills Site Safety Plus Certifi cate on successful completion of the 2 day programme and on passing a multiple choice CITB examination following the course.

    WHO IS IT FOR?

It is also of interest to others involved in the temporary works co-ordination process including:

    Site and Project Managers

Designers and Supervisors working for clients

Consultants and Contractors who need a detailed awareness of the safety and technical implications of temporary works

It is assumed that attending delegates will have pre-existing knowledge of temporary works.

    The duties of a TWC

The roles of others involved in temporary works projects
