p.1970* It is the aim of the Congress to over-throw Halan and Luthuli must take his place.
p.1970. The ploica are armed just to frighten our people. The black giants of Africa will no longer be frightened by machine guns.
p.1971. The strength of the A.N.C. is not strong yet. The day it is strengthened it will take over the Government. We have not yet received instructions from headquarters to ask for volun-teers, but that day is coming.

prayer for Congress.

Chief Luthuli had been banned (on his
arrival) appealed for members "volunteer

ing for the liberation of the non-
Europeans only but for all races in
South Africa."
Other speakers are shortly reported,

made reference to fighting in Tunis,
French Indo China and Viet Nam and Kenya.
