● Salons helped spread the ideas of the Enlightenment and gave some women new power
Mary Wollstonecraft Fun Fact- She married a philosopher and forefather of the anarchist movement.- She died at 38, ten days after giving birth to her daughter, Mary Shelley nee Wollstonecraft.- Mary Shelley wrote Frankenstein, one of the most heralded works of literature in the Romantic Era, ironically making fun of people’s devotion to science.
