• Meteors glare across the valley• Feet that might serve as shovels• Salem witch trials• Birch stick sings once• I’m as hungry as an ox.• Eerie glow on her dumpling face• Whoops and howls suddenly split the air• Ichabod’s green eyes grow as large as plates
• Shadowy woods• His nasal notes wound their ears• Katrina’s cheeks are soft and rosy as peaches• Her lips are as ripe as red berries• Broad-shouldered and double-jointed• Hair as black as a bear’s• His mouth waters when he feasts his eyes on the
