1. Children learn best by observing the behavior of adults and copying it. Do you
agree or disagree? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
INTRODUCTION
Every human being passes to stages on life where they get to know them self and the world
around them. The method of growing up a child is a very complex task. There are
numerous factors that influence children's growth. The timing in life that people deal with
most stages is their childhood. The behavior of adults plays a significant role in shaping
children's inclination and personality. It is true that children learn the best by observing the
behavior of adults. Albert Bandura, who is best known for the classic Bobo doll
experiment, identified this basic form of learning in 1986. Bandura stressed the importance
of observational learning because it helps people, especially children, acquire new
responses by observing others' behavior.
CONTENTS
Children appreciate their parents without judging them because they are the role
models. Children have an ability to learn more by observing others doing any kind of work.
Children have brain like a plain paper. They learn good or bad from what they watch
around them. First, they watch their family members, how they communicate with each
others, their lifestyle, and way of living. They get same impression because they spent most
of their time with them. They copy the information which is the most characteristic of
humans. Psychologically the children are into the phase of sensitive learning, the rapidly
copy the behaviour of their parents which is imprinted on their minds. Sometimes the
learning is the results of an event which is recorded in their memory and by observation and
repetition becomes a part of habits. Secondly, they adopt many habits from the society. If
they communicate with well-educated or well-mannered people then they can learn good
moral value and if their neighbourhood and society members have some bad qualities it
influences them negatively.
After the baby is born, the first and the nearest adults are his or her parents. They are
the first teacher of a child. When the baby just slurs pronunciation the little baby has started
1
to learn from their parents by observing and copying the adults' behavior. They themselves
have started to learn from their parents while they are doing things by watching and imitating.
Children get knowledge by observing behavior of adults and copying it is the best one.
People who are smokers or alcholics must know that children watch their activity and there
are leaving bad impression on the children minds. Sometimes these activities have a deep
impact on young children brain and heart. They learn their first lessons from these situations
because it’s the parents that guide them about these situations.
Along with the children's growth, adults will pressure them much more such as
logical thinking, making decision, cooperation with others. The behavior of adults can give
children both good and bad influence. Most of the behaviors represent adults' inclination.
Behavior is a direct and believable method to teach children. Parents always tell children
something repeatedly but most children cannot accept it as it is a boring method. Adult’s
behavior is the most successful education technique to let children to observe the whole
process of how to tackle with the problems. Parent’s behavior will be greatly helpful to shape
children into useful talents. Parents should watch them, where they go. What they do, whom
they meet and what do they feel. We should apply on them friendly behaviour however they
share their feelings frequently with us and they won’t try to adapt bad habits.
CONCLUSION
In conclusion, I agree with the opinion that children learn best by observing the
behavior of adults and copying it. I also believe that they would learn best by studying from
their friends at school by selecting what comes to them.

3. The destruction of the world’s forests is inevitable as our need for land and food
grows. Do you agree?
INTRODUCTION
The world’s forest play an important role such as regulating climates and provide habitat for
many species on earth. The global rate of forest destruction have incresed since 1980’s and
the World Resources Institute estimated that deforestation is averaged 16.9 million hectares
annually and if this continue, there would be no forests remaining by the time between years
2040 and 2060. If the green natural resources is destroyed, we will face many serious
consequences such as global warming, disaster or even extinction.
CONTENTS
Firstly, its now people have to suffer the climate change resulted by the greenhouse
effect caused by carbon dioxide. Genereally, carbon dioxide is absorbed by trees which can
prevent the greenhouse effect. However, those filter machines are reducing continually and
this will caused many troubles in which there is global warming. This will lead to climate
change that will caused some trouble such as warmer temperature, wind direction change and
higher sea level. Futhermore, a lot of carbon dioxide can pollute the environment and harmed
the global health.
Besides that, the destruction of world’s forest will make advantage for disaster as flood,
drought, tidal waves and so forth. People already know that trees protect them from flood by
keeping a large amount of water and drought by maintaining the humidity of the world.
However, it seems like people excellent shield is broked by themself. According to many
scientists, people have to suffer a lot of disaster in this century. This is proven by Tsunami in
Thailand and earthquakes in Haiti and Japan. Eventually, this will caused poverty, starvation,
losing home and death which affects the human lives.
4
On the other hand, not only human is affected but the animals are also related firmly
to the tress in global ecology system. If the forest’s destruction there are enormous amount of
animals have to witness the condition of no habitation and the deficiency of food, inevitable.
Moreover, some species which are in risk of extinction could never exist on this earth again.
In some recent research, the ecologists find that at present, the proportion of extinction for
each species is higher than ever. This is a warning bell for the goverments to make proper
policy to protect animals from human activities.
CONCLUSION
To summarize, I agree with this statement that using natural resources helps develop the
world, compared with what people have lost so far from over destruction the forests, it’s not
worth. People are need to control their nature exploiting to improve the earth as well as their
lives.

4. Technology is making communication easier in today’s world, but at the expense
of personal contact as many people choose to work at home in front of a
computer screen. What dangers are there for a society which depends on
computer screens rather than face-to-face contact for its main means of
communication?
INTRODUCTION
Technology and working in front of a computer is an incredible inspiration. Technology is
determined to make our lives easier. This is an amazing revolution in human's way of
communicating.
CONTENTS
At the present time, communication has become less complicated because of technological
enlargement.Especially the personal interaction is influenced because many internet
subscribers wish to stay at home and use their computers as a way to communicate. We
sometimes feel like throwing our computers out the window or going on vacation. Ultimately
technology gives us a wealth of opportunities to have more comfortable. But there are also
effects about this like compromise in human’s health and less attachment with other human
beings.
Some contemporary technologies that make life easier are household appliances such
as washing machine, dishwasher etc. These make household tasks less inconvenient.
Computers and mobile phones make communication between distance areas very easily
reachable. Now we have urban transportation which makes traveling faster and easier with
less traffic.
People who are facing computers at work in home have risks in their health by being
not moving from there. These people sit most of the time while they are working. They no
longer have to move around like to walk, talk, dress-up and go up-and down the stairs or do
other things physically. As a result this might cause them to be overweight, fat and other
illnesses might activate. Lack of exercise can cause heart disease and staying long in front of
7
the computer can cause eyes damage.Furthermore people who spend time with technology
can drop personal attachments with other people like their family, relations and friends.
Because they use computers as a tool for communication via instant messaging services like
Skype and Email services. They do not have liked to personally interact with other human
beings and their bonding with others may depreciate. Working in front of a computer is
although a fantastic idea on the opposing side internet users must be aware of dangerous
consequences and that could affect their health and attachment with other humans.
CONCLUSION
For the conclusion, we must understand that the development of information technology has
been changing the way of our live completely. Everything become more easily, but, at the
expense of personal contact, as many people choose to work at home in front of a computer
screen. This brings the serious dangers for a society which depends on computer screen rather
than face-to-face contacts. This matter, not just bring bad side for our society, but also for our
health. Apart from that, depending on a screen rather than meeting face-to-face is very bad
for our spine back ill. Sitting for a long time and looking to a screen also makes our eyes bad.
This will cause healthy problem for us. We always feel not good with our spine back and we
also maybe have to wear eyeglasses when we have a problem with our eyes. From my
reading, light from the screen can cause bad side for our eyes if we continuously looking at
computer screen the whole day long.

6. Why is community service important in today’s world?
INTRODUCTION
Community service is the long held tradition of working without pay in order to serve the
common good. In essence, we're talking about helping others either directly or indirectly in
order to make the world a little bit of a better place. Often times, community service is
different from other volunteer organizations because it is focused on one local issue rather
than trying to save the world or focusing on larger problems. Of all the reasons people do
community service, some are voluntary and some are mandatory. Some people like to do
community service because they simply feel that it's the right thing to do.
CONTENTS
Community service has been a forever, long service done through giving people of
communities in the effort to bring up their neighborhood. These selfless acts of kindness have
been passed through the generations with the same undertones. As volunteering services have
grown through the times, there are now more available means of community services for
people to involve themselves with. Those who taken on community service projects have
greatly benefited from their work, gaining memorable experiences, and building unique
character traits.
For those who are unfamiliar with volunteering, the thought of commitment comes to
mind. The commitment that is made to volunteering is slightly different, for in most
volunteering situations, you create as much of a commitment as you want. People have the
option to volunteer as much of their own time as they are willing, still allowing them to
remain focused on their school, work, and personal lives. As there are some services that do
ask for a longer time commitment, you still are able to give as much time for a certain project
as you want.
Through volunteering, people who need an outlet for their character trait of being kind
and selfless, have been able to receive that satisfaction. People have sometimes toiled with
10
the notion of wanting to find some way to give back to their community, and help those that
cannot help themselves. Those in this situation have been able to volunteer at soup kitchens
and have discussions with people they serve, brightening up their day and making them
smile. Others have gone to hospitals and aided with the elderly, having conversation with
them and listening to stories of a time long ago, gaining wisdom. The elderly in this situation
are always more than thankful for someone to have a conversation with someone and being
listened to, especially if you are someone who enjoys playing a game of chess! In the same
scene, volunteers are also able to work with children, playing games with them, reading and
painting with them. Again, putting a smile on their face is all the payment a volunteer needs
to make them feel grateful for doing this type of service.
CONCLUSION
For the conclusion, many people who have volunteered gain a type of growth that
some can not get anywhere else. Volunteers are given the opportunity to see this life from a
variety of different angles, giving them, at the end of the day, a sense of humility for their
own lives. When a person volunteers, they are able to give as much of their time as they
want, making the commitment their own. One of the easiest things about volunteering is
getting involved. There are countless organizations and charities that are always looking for
an extra hand to put a smile on someone's face. With all the opportunities available to
volunteer, a person can find their way into something that could change not just their life, but
also the life of another.

7. Tourism is becoming increasingly important as a source of revenue for many
countries but its disadvantages should not be overlooked. What are some of the
disadvantages of tourism?
INTRODUCTION
Tourism has become one of the most appreciated source of income for many countries of the
world. Tourism is the fastest growing industry in this world because it is a very good of
earning foreign currency. Tourism has many advantages and disadvantages. The advantages
of tourism include firstly that it provides direct employment for the people associated with
occupations in bars, hotels, tour guides. This way the average standard of living of people
increases well enough and leads to further lowering of dependency ratio. If there is high
employment in a country then the country can concentrate on other aims and objectives like
education, health care etc. Secondly, tourism provides indirect employment in terms of
factory workers who help to produce goods and services in the economy to meet the
increasing demands of the population an the tourists. Tourists also take with them, souvenirs
which can be produced by people. Farmers are also encouraged to grow more food for the
population.Thirdly, tourism provides much needed foreign currency and foreign investment.
The economy of third world country can boom through this and the population benefits
through this.Lastly, the country has more money so can improve its infrastructure which is a
benefit for the local people.
CONTENTS
In spite of the advantages of tourism, there can be many disadvantages too as there are
always two sides of everything. First of all, tourists cause pollution and can damage the
environment such as visual and noise pollution from increased buildings. This may serve
negatively as increased pollution disturbs local residents and also it may discourage tourists
from further entering the country. Secondly, building up the infrastructure is costly and
money that is spent may have been better spent elsewhere. Therefore, if for any other
political reason if tourists are discouraged to come into the country, then the government will
suffer a lot as it did not invest in other things like education, healthcare etc. The economy
may go into a slump and serious problems like unemployment may be created which could
inversely decrease the standards of living of local residents.
13
Thirdly, tourism benefits only the right industries, others may be worse off as
traditional industry is often lost. Producers would in this case only produce what is demanded
and old traditional things may not be produced. The country may become a puppet in the
hands of tourists and there may be really high dependency on only the tourism industry.
Fourthly, tourists don't always respect traditional cultures and cultures can be broken down as
a result of tourism. The country may lose its original values and a sense of identity. The local
residents might just start following the way tourists live and that is another reason why the
local dressing and culture may be compromised.
Lastly, much of the profit goes overseas from multinationals as they send their profits
to their original country. The government can do nothing except for close down or ban these
multi nationals which may reduce the investment levels in the country and therefore the
country may suffer a lot. We can conclude by saying that even though tourism carries a lot of
disadvantages with its development, countries especially those in the process of development
continue to depend on this industry because this industry does not require a lot of literacy and
also it yields maximum profits with less investment.
CONCLUSION
When we talk about tourism, there a lot thing to disscuss about it. Tourism has many advantages
and disadvantages. We should make it challenge to keep everything as to overcome as best as
possible. There is no problem cannot be resolved. We should use our common sense to solve
it.
