Over the year, wehavea varietyofopportunities forGooarnjtogrowintoGuruman,transitioningfromYear3to4,throughourAthleticscourse,ourBikesPEunitandcurrently inourMaths-throughKitchenactivities.Moving from teaspoon, tablespoon and cup Capacitymeasurementstoaccuratemillilitreamounts, wehavealso applied their knowledge of Fractions to theircooking preparations. Their capabilities withEquivalent Fractions has been very useful whensomeonebeats them to theHalf-CupScoopand theyend up with the Quarter-Cup Scoop. Anyinconsistencies in accuracy of measurements oftenappeared to be related to sugar, with notableconsequences such as burnt biscuit-bottoms anderraticconcentrationspans.
