Tutorial 06 Design of RCC Abutment

USER's Guide to run Project Data for Design of RCC Abutment, To understand various data syntax user may refer to

relevant section of ASTRA Pro main screen “Help” or “User’s Manual”,

Select ASTRA Pro menu item “Process Design>>Bridge Design>>Working Folder”,

As the screen comes click on button "Browse", as the selection box comes either Make or Select your working folder

as “Desktop>>WORK”, Click on button “OK”, and again click on button “OK”,

Select the Design Standard of your choice, Here “Indian Standard” is selected,

Select ASTRA Pro menu item “Process Design>>Bridge Design>> Bridge Abutment Design”,

The User’s Input Data Dialog box comes as shown below, The Tab “As Counterfort Retaining Wall”, is selected, Click

on button “Process” as shown below,

The message comes about Design Report file in the current working folder, Click on button “OK”, The Design Report

will be opened for viewing, View and close the Design report,

The Design Report is opened for viewing by the user,

The User’s Input Data Dialog box comes as shown below, The Tab “As Cantilever Retaining Wall”, is selected, Click on

button “Process” as shown below,

The message comes about Design Report file in the current working folder, Click on button “OK”, The Design Report

will be opened for viewing, View and close the Design report,

The Design Report for Abutment is opened for viewing by the user,

Next, the Tab “Drawings” is selected, Click on button” Abutment as Counterfort Retaining Wall Drawings”,

The First Drawing in the list is opened in ASTRA Viewer, it may be saved as DWG file,

The Second Drawing in the list is opened in ASTRA Viewer, it may be saved as DWG file, View and Close the Viewer,

Next, click on button” Abutment as Cantilever Retaining Wall Drawings”,

The Drawing is opened in ASTRA Viewer, it may be saved as DWG file, View and Close the Viewer,
