The FIM Superbike World Championship 2016 has reachedover 283 mio of TV viewers during the season, thanks to18.290 hours of coverage, generating over 181 mio Euroof Media Value.

Europe has been the first region in terms of Audience(almost 232 millions of viewers), thanks to the 12.739hours of coverage. Italy assured the 52% of the Europeanviewers; followed by Spain 20 mio of viewers (9% of theEuropean result).

During the Italian round in Imola, the event has obtained29,8 mio of viewers, thanks to the high level of audiencereached especially in Italy (Italia 1 & Italia 2) and Indonesia(Fox Sports channels) that have contributed to the largepart of the round performance.

METHODOLOGY

CUMULATIVE AUDIENCE Average cumulative audience of the programs during which the brand has been present.(expressed in number of viewers).

TV MEDIA VALUESponsorship Contacts x CPT in € / 1.000

This permits to calculate the sponsorship value, based on the idea that a sponsor has to bear a fixed cost of 10 € (CPT) to reach 1.000 people for 30 seconds.

This way the strength of international sponsorships are best illustrated, as it generally is a far more cost effective way of increasing brand awareness than any conventional communication tool.
