• To find out how weather presenters used Twitter • to compare with a previous study about Twitter and Nat. Met. Services.

•Is Twitter an additional channel for weather forecasts?



data collection:

•we created a data base containing now more than 800 weather

presenters(wp) around the world that have a twitter account

Through a program that we developed every week we monitor it



Twitter:

• an online social networking service that enables users to send and read short 140-character messages called "tweets".

• Started at july 2006, in May 2015 500 million users

• In 2013 added in line photos, in 2014 videos

• 500.000.000 tweets per day
