Whether you’re taking a tuk-tuk to your destination or riding the Skytrain, the grandeur of Bangkok presents itself at every turn. Phoenix XXXIX has a special selection of leisure activities for you to experience.

Jim Thompson House and Suan Pakkad PalaceFrom elegant architecture to a royal residence, this tour explores two of Bangkok’s most famous and historical buildings. The Jim Thompson House is the residential enclave of one of Southeast Asia’s most colorful collectors. You’ll wonder through the extensive collection of artifacts filling six teakwood houses to get a fascinating glimpse of the architect’s 30-year infatuation with local art and culture.

As the tour continues, the Suan Pakkad Palace, meaning “cabbage patch” in Thai, presents itself. Built as a collection of eight traditional wooden Thai houses, the palace was once the residence of Prince and Princess Chumbhot. Now a museum, each house on the property overflows with fine arts, musical instruments, antiques and eclectic collector’s items.

Floating Market and River Kwai TourAt the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, you can experience the traditional Thai style of buying and selling goods from small boats floating in the canal. Built in 1866, the canal is the ideal thoroughfare for merchants to sell goods to the public. Bustling, vibrant and colorful, the art of serious haggling is encouraged. For World War II patriots, the Bridge over the

River Kwai and the Death Railway are forever tied to history — but that’s only part of the appeal. As the tour continues, the river makes its way through some of the most beautiful, natural landscapes and tropical jungles in Thailand. Verdant forests, flowing rivers and spectacular waterfalls are all part of this full-day excursion.

Thonburi Klongs and Grand PalaceWhen you opt for this tour, you will be cruising the ancient waterways (klongs) of Thonburi to visit the iconic Grand Palace. Step ashore and see how the golden stupas, colorful mosaics and classic columns of the palace blend traditional Thai and European styles together. PHOENIX XXXIX PROGRAM RULES

Who May Participate? All United States distributors of battery-operated industrial lift trucks (including dealerships and factory branches) are eligible to participate. Qualifications in the current EnerSys® travel program will be limited to principals and employees of such dealerships who are working in a sales capacity that affects battery and charger purchases at the time of program travel to Riviera Maya and Thailand in 2020.

How Points are Earned Points will be earned:

1) When the U.S. distributor sells an electric lift truck that is equipped with a new IRONCLAD®, Express® or NexSys® battery and/or qualifying EnerSys charger* during the program or

2) When a U.S. distributor sells an IRONCLAD, Express or NexSys battery and/or qualifying EnerSys charger* as replacement.

* (Charger orders for use with EnerSys brand batteries other than IRONCLAD, Express or NexSys will not qualify for this program.)

EnerSys (U.S.) must invoice the sale to the distributor or to the distributor’s OEM under a qualified OEM program for the sale to qualify. Orders placed with and invoiced by Manufacturer’s Representatives of EnerSys or other third parties shall not count toward this program.

In the event that the equipment passes through more than one dealership or factory branch, the organization selling to the end user will be awarded points.

How Points are Scored A) IRONCLAD and Express batteries – 2 points per kWh capacity

B) NexSys batteries 1) NexSys batteries comprised of 2V cells - 2 points per kWh capacity 2) NexSys batteries comprised of 12V blocks - point values follow:

C) Chargers – Qualifying charger lines must be billed by EnerSys as spelled out in “How Points are Earned” (above). Model point values follow:

D) All points for EnerSys batteries shall be valued per the following discount schedule from the list price in effect at the time of official order entry and placement with EnerSys headquarters in Reading, PA.

What are the Qualifications for the Phoenix XXXIX Travel Program?

Total points earned by a distributor will determine automatic qualifications in the Phoenix XXXIX travel program. One appointment (trip for two) to Riviera Maya (4,900 points) or one appointment (trip for two) to Thailand (9,700 points) will be awarded for the afore mentioned number of points earned by a distributorship. No more than two trips for two will be awarded to the same dealer or OEM from points accumulated from the end user for any reason. The winning dealership or individual salesperson may elect the destination of their choice provided the dealership has enough points for all awards claimed. Point distribution within a dealership is the responsibility of the dealership. In the event either destination becomes overbooked,

EnerSys reserves the right to limit participation or to substitute an alternate destination. Awards are made to the dealership, not to individuals, and the dealership shall decide which salesperson shall participate provided they meet the details of “Who May Participate” section of this brochure. Distributorships or branches earning the requisite points for qualifications will be awarded appointments only if they are in good credit standing with EnerSys. Should the participant’s account not be current at the end of the program, no award shall be made.

Point RegistrationOrders will be credited automatically when written if the distributorship or factory branch placing the order is known. Program Time PeriodThe program period is July 1, 2018 through October 31, 2019, inclusive. To be counted, orders must specify shipment by December 31, 2019. No order that was counted in a previous travel program may be claimed in this program.

The Award The award in this program consists of an appointment (trip for two / employee and guest) to the destination described in this Phoenix XXXIX brochure, and mentioned in these program rules. Both participants must be of legal age (21) and possess a current Passport. This is the only award offered or implied by this program. EnerSys regrets that appointees, who, for any reason, are unable to attend, will receive no substitute award. Distributorships will designate qualified individuals (see “Who May Participate” section) within their sales organizations who will earn appointments. Appointments may be granted only to the principals and employees of the distributorship who are so employed during the operation of this program. Award points and appointments are not transferable between distributorships unless common ownership can be demonstrated. Appointments are not transferable from one individual to another. EnerSys reserves the right to change or modify these rules at any time and to clarify the rules as needed. In the event of any dispute involving this program, the decision of the EnerSys program managers will be final. EnerSys reserves the right to cancel a reward for any or no reason, including but not limited to if the recipient commits some act or omission in breach of his/her or its obligations to EnerSys or which would tend to damage EnerSys’ reputation.

Tax LiabilityAwards are subject to applicable federal, state and local taxes. EnerSys is required by law to report some incentive trip awards. Winners will be required to provide EnerSys with an IRS form W-9. Awards made to incorporated dealers, as demonstrated in fully executed W-9 forms, will not be reported on individual 1099 forms. Payment of any and all additionally assessed taxes is the responsibility of the winners. This brochure does not constitute legal advice.
