About PG college of law, O.U. The Post Graduate College of Law has a glorious history of more than 121 years. The Faculty of Law started classes in 1899 by Legal Department during Nizam period, in Hyderabad State. In 1923, Law Department was constituted at premises of Arts College in O.U. The University made a successful experiment of teaching Law, in a vernacular language namely Urdu. At that time Urdu was court language. The College shifted to Nizam College premises and in 1983 into its newly constructed building. At present the institution is offering six branches in Master of Laws (LL.M.), PG Diploma courses and also Ph.D. Programme. To improve the legal education standards, the College introduced 5YDC integrated course at bachelor's level (LL.B) in 2006. The College is known for its committed faculty with excellent infrastructure and Alumni having reached the pinnacles of excellence as Judges of Supreme Court and High Courts, Attorneys, Academicians, Politicians and other chosen Professionals in India as well as Globally.

In the History of Osmania University for the first time the Father of Indian Constitution Dr. B.R. Ambedkar's statue was installed in the college premises. The purpose of installation of statue is to bring awareness among the students regarding the ideology, thoughts and achievements, about the Constitution and Constitutional Values enshrined by the Father of Indian Constitution.

About ICSI The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) is constituted under an Act of Parliament i.e. the Company Secretaries Act, 1980 (Act No. 56 of 1980). ICSI is the only recognized professional body to develop and regulate the profession of Company Secretaries in India. The Institute of Company Secretaries of India awards the certificate of bestowing the designation of Company Secretary (CS) to a candidate qualifying for the membership of the Institute. The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has since been converted into a statutory body w.e.f. 1.1.1981 under the Company Secretaries Act, 1980. The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has on its rolls more than 59500 members including 9000 members holding certificate of the practice. The number of current students is over 350000.

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has its Headquarters at New Delhi and four Regional Offices at New Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata and Mumbai. The Institute has four Regional Councils and under their jurisdiction it has 73 Chapters.

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

India is one of the fastest growing economy in the world despite the low growth rates in the recent times. The industrial growth is the key for any economy so we need to have balanced growth. The Anti-competitive practices have to be controlled and we need to have healthy competition in the market, this helps in protecting the consumers interest, apart from the above issue, various financial scams that are taking place in the recent times, are alarming situations where the law needs to be changed along with the changes. In recent years, there are numerous amendments in the fields of Company Law, Tax Laws, and Competition Laws, Insolvency Laws or in the field of the International Trading Law which shall have a potential impact on economic growth of the country. At this juncture this Seminar endeavours to provide a forum for discussion on changes taking place in the relevant field and various aspects influencing Corporate Sector in India.

This Conference will also provide a constructive opportunity for students, lawyers and associated professional members in the region to exchange insights, explore current scenario of Corporate Law and exposure to a professional network of colleagues with shared interests and expertise.

CALL FOR PAPERS

Contributors are requested to send their original and unpublished articles relating to the seminar themes and any other issues relevant to the subject.

ABSTRACT/FULL LENGTH PAPERS

Participants are requested to send their abstracts/full length research papers on:

m A4 size paper using 12 font size on Times New Roman with single space.

m Full length paper along with the abstract should include a concise title, name of the author(s) and address.

m Name of the presenting author should be underlined.

m The Full Length Paper shall not exceed 5000 words and

the Abstract should not exceed 250 words.

m The papers shall be prepared by following APA

reference style.

m Participants are further requested to send the soft copy

m The intimation of acceptance shall be given on or before th20 October, 2019

m Selected full length papers will be published in the book
