Location Portmahomack is a charming picturesque former fishing village in Easter Ross located a few miles east of Tain on the Dornoch Firth. The village lies in the Moray Firth Special Area of Conservation in the Tarbat Peninsula in the parish of Tarbat Ness.

Directions Take the A9 north from Inverness, across the Kessock Bridge towards Wick. Stay on the A9 for about 30 miles, past the towns of Evanton, Alness and Invergordon until you reach the roundabout signposted for Balintore and Nigg on road B9175. Take the 2nd exit off the roundabout, then turn left at the sign for Hill of Fearn and then left on the B9165 when it turns off the Balintore road. The B9165 leads you directly to Portmahomack and on entering the village turn right signposted for Rockfield at the war memorial site. Turn first right signposted Rockfield Village and follow this road uphill where you will see the property directly ahead.
