Town to train at the Valdebebas with Real Madrid’s Academy coaches and then pit their wits against Atlético Madrid and Getafe

Sevenoaks Town's U15’s head off on a tour to Madrid on Sunday 15th February to play matches against Atlético Madrid’s and Getafe’s Academy.

While on tour, the Sevenoaks team will also have three training sessions with Real Madrid’s Academy coaches at the Valdebebas training complex, take part in a tour at the Santiago Bernabéu and finally take in a La Liga match between Rayo Vallecano and Villareal.

The trip has been organised by team manager Toby Lansdale, who said: "This is a once in a lifetime experience for the players and thanks to some very generous sponsorship the players are only paying a fraction of the cost.

The team is really looking forward to playing two top-class sides and being able to measure their development against two excellent Academy teams."

“Having been on similar tours, as a Sevenoaks player, to some of Europe’s most prestigious clubs including Barcelona, Espanyol, Juventus, Sporting Lisbon and Benfica I want to give my team the same experiences I was fortunate enough to have.”

Schedule: Sunday (Feb 15), arrive, La Liga match; am Monday, train with Real Madrid FC Academy, pm, match against Atlético Madrid FC academy; am Tuesday, train with Real Madrid FC Academy, pm, match against Getafe FC academy; am Wednesday, train with Real Madrid FC Academy, pm, Santiaga Bernabeu Stadium tour before travelling back home
