U54 COMMUNITY OUTREACH TRAINING OPPORTUNITY The UMass Boston—DF/HCC U54 Partnership’s Outreach Core (OC) is providing paid summer research and outreach opportunities for students interested in cancer/cancer disparities, public health, and community outreach OC interns will be matched with one of the U54 Partnership’s Internship Sites either at DF/HCC community-based research labs, at Community Based Organizations, or at Faith Based Organizations in the Boston area or Lawrence, MA Interns will be required to attend workshops throughout the summer, attend the Annual Education Day, and present a poster of their work during the Summer Poster Presentation Students from under-represented minority backgrounds are encouraged to apply THE PROGRAM PROVIDES: Summer Public Health Research, Community Outreach, and Community- Based Participatory Research Opportunities Part-time and Full-time Internship Positions with hourly wages Research, outreach, and professional skills training Faculty Mentoring Preparation for graduate school ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: US citizens and permanent residents, student VISAs Full-time Undergraduate and Post- Baccalaureate students who wish to pursue a career related to cancer and public health Please contact Dr. S. Core (OC) is providing paid summer research and outreach opportunities for students interested in cancer/cancer disparities, public health, and community outreach
