Every game brings the same pleasure of improvement in the boy’s performance

What advice/tips would you give to young, up and coming footballers?

Listen to your coaches, but most importantly ENJOY the beautiful game

Match reports: Opponent: Woodbank - Reds Date: 25th October 2014 – 9:15am Kick Off Venue: Nuttall Park, Nuttall Hall Lane, Ramsbottom, BL0 0AS Result: Woodbank Reds ?-? Pennine Blacks Match report: TBC Opponent: Rossendale Valley - Tigers Date: 18th October 2014 – 9:30am Kick Off Venue: St. Peter’s Avenue, Rossendale, BB4 4BS Result: Rossendale Valley Tigers 2-12 Pennine Blacks Match report: The match kicked off with a very early goal from Finn, within 30 seconds of the whistle. Cyrus followed swiftly with a goal onslaught of three before Rossendale Valley Tigers clawed one back. Finn responded with a stunning shot to make the score 5 -1 . Pennine Blacks continued their lead with two excellent goals from Reyan. His first shot was serviced by an accurate pass from Finn and his second was scored with his right foot. Sam held a strong defensive position throughout the first half and helped Jake to prevent Rossendale from scoring a second before half time. The first half ended with Pennine Blacks leading 7-1. The second half opened with a belting penalty from Sam to get him on the score sheet.

Rossendale then managed a second goal despite an excellent goal keeping attempt from

Cyrus, leaving the score 9-2 with 10 minutes to go. Pennine Blacks quickly got back on the

attack and an 11th goal came from a quality penalty taken by Ollie. Ollie finished the game

with two more excellent goals with the second one being set up by a great cross from Jake.

The game ended 12-2 with Man of the match being awarded to Sam Hicks for his tenacious

defending in part but mainly for his goal and his excellent play up front.

Reyan kept up the pressure by feeding Jake an excellent opportunity, which he took full advantage of, sending Pennine 2 in front. Goals continued to come up to the half time break with 2 more from Reyan and 1 from Finn, meaning the first half ended 5 nil up. Following his first half clean sheet with some magical saves in net, Ollie opened up the scoring with two excellent goals in succession. Reyan, not to be outdone, continued his flurry of goals with another quality strike to put Pennine 8 – 1 up. Roach maximised on an opportunity to pull back another goal but the game concluded with another belter from Ollie, which was supplied by an accurate pass from Reyan. Great goals but again the defence was strong with another commendable effort from Sam with great defending in the first half and excellent goal keeping in the second. Man of the Match was Ollie Kirkby. Match report:

An emphatic win kicked off with a goal from Jake in the first 10 mins. The second 10 minutes

brought on a Goal Rush with goals from Cyrus, Reyan, Cyrus again and Ollie. On the stroke

of half-time it ended at five nil, with some excellent defending from Sam and a clean sheet

held by Finn in goal. The third 10 minutes saw three further goals scored by Finn, Jake and

Ollie. The final 10 ended with a goal from Cyrus who was supplied with an excellent cross

from Sam who had a belting game! Reyan followed in Finn's footsteps by keeping a clean

sheet in the second half and helping Pennine secure a good first win. Man of the match was

Cyrus Moores.
