Tracking Health and Safety Champions The 2015 National Agreement called for all Unit Based Teams, beginning at Level 1, to “identify a Health and Safety Champion.” This person is meant to serve as a “spark plug” for team activities related to Total Health (e.g. organizing an Instant Recess or a group walk). UBT Tracker allows teams to identify their champion. In addition to allowing us to track whether a team is in compliance with the Path to Performance, this will allow leaders in Total Health and Workplace Safety to communicate with these individuals when needed. Teams designate their Champion by choosing “TH/WPS Champion” from the drop down menu of Team Roles found on the UBT Detail/Members Tab. Simply scroll down to the team member you want to assign the role to and select “TH/WPS Champion” from the Team Role menu. NOTE: You must have edit privileges for the team in question.
