For more info about how to apply: globalinstitute.berkeley.edu/summer Contact: Dr. Christine Zhou, Director of Operations, [email protected] Week 1 (7/6/20 – 7/10/20): College Student Mental Health in the World: Overview, Trends and Crisis Intervention This week is designed to advance participants’ understanding of college student mental health challenges in the U.S., with the hope of exploring similarities and differences with participants from around the world. Participants will also increase their clinical knowledge and skills of suicide assessment and crisis intervention within a short-term treatment model. Week 2: (7/13/20-7/16/20): Advanced Clinical Specialty Training During this week, clinicians will expand their clinical knowledge through a sequential and progressive training of advanced counseling skills. Training will focus on cutting- edge advances in evidence-based interventions and will incorporate self-examination and reflection needed to be effective in the professional practice of counseling. COST Tuition is $2,500 per student per week. Participants are responsible for arranging their own lodging, transportation, and meals.
