125th Anniversary UC College of Nursing Alumni Legacy Award Nomination
Celebrating a Legacy of 125 Years. Celebrating a Legacy of 125 Leaders.
In commemoration of the University of Cincinnati College of Nursing’s 125th Anniversary, we are celebrating 125 alumni and honorary alumni who have contributed to our 125 year legacy. These awards are designed to honor and acknowledge graduates who have demonstrated leadership and/or philanthropy in practice, research, education and/or service in the community and health care. The Legacy Award recipients will be recognized at Alumni Weekend on April 10-11, 2015.
UC College of Nursing MissionDevelop nurse leaders who are empowered to generate, to explore, and to apply nursing knowledge for evolving health care environments.
UC College of Nursing VisionThrough creative leveraging of technology, UC College of Nursing will lead the transformation of health care in partnership informed by the people we serve.
Award CriteriaThe College of Nursing Legacy award recipients will have gone above and beyond in their role as a nurse, health care provider and community member. Award recipients will be selected based on demonstration of one or more of the following criteria:
o Accomplishments that contribute to UC College of Nursing’s mission and vision.o Leadership in practice, research, education, and/or service.o Innovation – Demonstrating or implementing creative, novel or visionary approaches to practice,
research, education and/or service.o Commitment to the profession of nursing – Advancements to the contribution of nursing to local, national
and/or global health and well-being.o Contributed to the growth of UC College of Nursing through generous donations and financial support.
Deadline for SubmissionThe deadline to submit the nomination form is November 15, 2014. The awards will be presented at the College of Nursing Alumni Weekend on April 10 – 11, 2015.
Selection ProcessSelections will be determined by a panel of nurses from the Nursing Alumni Board.
