Head coachUrs FischerDate of birth: 20 February 1966Nationality: SwissPlaying career: FC Zürich (twice), FC St Gallen Coaching career: FC Zürich (youth and U21s head coach, assistant and head first-team coach), FC Thun, FC Basel1893

• Fischer spent his playing career as a defender for Zürich and St Gallen. Though he won four senior caps forSwitzerland, his greatest achievement was arguably winning the Swiss Cup with Zürich in 2000. He made 545 Swisstop-flight appearances before retiring in 2003.

• Fischer's first achievement as a coach came at Zürich, where he worked his way up from the youth ranks to the topjob. He took over the first team in 2010 and steered them to the brink of the title in his maiden season.

• Zürich finished only three points behind Basel in Fischer's debut campaign, a 2-2 draw against his future employerswith three games remaining proving crucial.

• Fischer and Zürich parted ways in 2012. He then had a nine-month break before joining Thun, whom he guided intothe top half of the table despite a limited budget.

• His success prompted Basel to come calling when seeking a replacement for Paulo Sousa in 2015. Fischer ledBasel to the Swiss Super League title – and automatic UEFA Champions League qualification – in his first season inthe dugout. He could not take Basel to a home final in the UEFA Europa League, though, eventual winners Sevillaknocking them out in the last 16.

Arsène WengerDate of birth: 22 October 1949Nationality: FrenchPlaying career: AS Mutzig, FC Mulhouse, AS Vauban, RC StrasbourgCoaching career: RC Strasbourg (assistant coach), AS Cannes (assistant coach), AS Nancy-Lorraine, AS MonacoFC, Nagoya Grampus Eight, Arsenal FC

• Not the most successful of players, Arsène Wenger has more than made up for that as a coach, turning Arsenal intoone of Europe's top teams.

• Born in Strasbourg, Wenger worked at Strasbourg and Cannes before Nancy-Lorraine offered him his big break. Heimpressed sufficiently to be offered the job as coach of Monaco in 1987.

• Within a year Monaco scooped the French title and Wenger the Coach of the Year award. He led the side to 1991French Cup glory, then the 1992 European Cup Winners' Cup final where they lost to SV Werder Bremen. Afterreportedly turning down France and FC Bayern München, he moved on to Japan and enjoyed huge success withGrampus Eight.

• Appointed by Arsenal in September 1996, Wenger became the first non-Briton to win the Premier League, in 1998,adding the first of six FA Cup triumphs. The Gunners lost the 2000 UEFA Cup final to Galatasaray AŞ but claimedanother domestic double in 2002, and in 2003/04 played some thrilling attacking football en route to becoming the firstteam since 1889 to negotiate an English top-flight season unbeaten.

• Wenger nearly topped all his achievements by taking Arsenal to the 2006 UEFA Champions League final, only forFC Barcelona to come from behind to win 2-1. Arsenal's move to their new stadium later that year was instigated byWenger, who ended nine years without a trophy by guiding Arsenal to the 2014 FA Cup and retained the trophy a yearlater, the club's 12th triumph in the competition – setting a new record that was equalled by Manchester United FC 12months later.
