Scouts Voice Journalists who gatheredat Masindi Public School discussed
how people with HIV can live a longand happy life. They also wrote cardsencouraging people with HIV andgiving them advice on living positivelywith HIV.
You can live longer if you: Accept that you have HIV and
cannot change it
Avoid worrying by socialising withother people. Get involved in gamesand other social events at school andin your community
Get more information about HIV, likehow to care about yourself. Readmaterials or ask your doctor
Always get treatment for anyopportunistic disease that you get
Keep yourself and your environmentclean
Find something to do. Avoid self pity
