Rome By AirWednesday 18th – Saturday 21st March 2020

3 x Nights: Bed and Breakfastat The Hotel Aberdeen, Rome.

Rome, the Eternal City, is within doubt one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Attracting millions of visitors from around the world to admire the treasures and masterpieces of Roman art and architecture.

With such a density of magnificent buildings, sculptures and artworks, in a small area, the best way to explore is on foot, but make sure there is still time to just relax and soak up the atmosphere.

The Hotel Aberdeen is the perfect base, visits to the Eternal City on foot or or public transport. Located in a classic noble Roman palace near the Quirinale in a quiet area of the historic centre and is near both the Termini train station and Trevi Fountain.

Wednesday 18th: Travel by coach from Highway Garage to Manchester Airport for our flight to Rome. On arrival in Rome, we are met by a local guide and transferred to our hotel, The Hotel Aberdeen, where we will be based for the next 3 nights. We have time to take in our surroundings before dinner in a local restaurant this evening.

Thursday 19th: After breakfast we will be met by a local guide for an orientation guide by coach. This tour will take in the main attractions, including: as the roman Forum and the forums of Caesar Augustus and Trajan; the Capitol; the Colosseum and Palatine Hill; the Vatican City and Saint Peters Basilica – all of which you have the remainder of the trio to enjoy at your leisure. After the tour we have the remainder of the day and

evening for independent sightseeing and to enjoy the local cuisine Italy is so famous for.

Friday 20th: After breakfast at the hotel, we have the whole day to enjoy Rome at leisure. Why not wander through the galleries of the Vatican Museum, passing breath-taking Roman mosaics, sculptures and spectacular frescoed ceilings before viewing the masterpieces of Botticelli, Perugino, Signorelli, Pinturicchio and Michelangelo in the front Sistine Chapel. Visit Saint Peter’s Square and Bramante’s Vatican Basilica or Rome’s Jewish Quarter, dating back to 139 B.C. The ghetto is a lively part of the medieval city with narrow streets, Roman remains, ancient homes, aristocratic palaces and a beautiful synagogue and museum.

Saturday 21st: Flight time depending we will have some time for one last walk in the ancient city before transferring to the airport for our flight back to Manchester. On our return we will be met by the coach and transferred to Highway Garage.

Holiday Booking ConditionsDeposits and Payments of Final Balances A deposit of 20% per person will be required for all tours and will be payable on booking. Bookings are not confirmed until a 20% deposit has been received. The final balance on all tours will be due 42 days (6 weeks) before departure. Authorisation to sign the contract The person signing the contract does so, on behalf of all members of the group and accepts these booking conditions on their behalf. Cancellation by the Company The Company will not cancel a tour after the final balance due date unless it is necessary to do so by circumstances beyond our control.
