The ONS website: moving from Public Beta to Live

Purpose 1. This paper provides the National Statistics Executive Group (NSEG) with an evaluation of

the readiness for ‘go-live’ of the ‘Public Beta’ Office for National Statistics (ONS) website. The paper seeks approval for the new ONS website to ‘go-live’ on the 1 February 2016.

Conclusion 42. This paper has set out the evaluation of the Public Beta website and requests the approval of

NSEG to close the current ONS website and ‘go-live’ with the new service on the 1 February 2016. We welcome the opportunity to provide regular progress reports to NSEG on the incremental development of the website and the delivery of the agreed benefits outlined in the FBC.
