BED OPERATION (CONT.)

SEMI-ELECTRIC MOTOR UNIT

Step 1. Carefully, put the bed on it's side as shown inFigure 10.

Step 2. Lift the head section and lift the foot section ofthe springs. See Figure 10.

Step 3. Remove the slide caps from both ends of themotor. See Figure 11.

Step 4. Hold the motor and position it into the headsection of the bed. Position the large center sectiontowards the outside of the bed on the side of the motor.See Figure 12.

Step 5. While holding the head section of the motor,make sure the cam is positioned deep into the motorcavity. Replace the motor slide cap on this end.

Step 6. Hold the motor and position it into the footsection of the bed, making sure the cam is positioneddeep into the motor cavity. Replace the motor slidecap on this end.

Step 7. Lower the head section and lower the footsection of the springs.

Step 8. Carefully, return the bed to the uprightposition with it's wheels on the floor. See figure 13.

Drive recommends the following maintenance and cleaning procedures be conducted between users and at least once every three (3) years.
