Balancing the rheology characteristics, aesthetic properties and stabilization of skin care systems featuring anti-aging and blemish-fighting actives is easier with Lubrizol’s next generation carbomer.
Carbopol Ultrez 30 polymer is capable of delivering desired rheological and aesthetic properties in the presence of electrolytes or in the acid-active-containing conditions required to deliver efficacy of the product to the consumer.

HIGH THICKENING EFFICIENCY
Carbopol Ultrez 30 polymer provides excellent viscosity at low concentrations in systems containing low to medium levels of electrolytes.

ENHANCED ELECTROLYTE TOLERANCECarbopol Ultrez 30 polymer offers good viscosity and yield value in the presence of electrolytes, demonstrating good tolerance at higher sodium chloride levels (0.5 wt%).

PERFORMANCE IN LOW pH SYSTEMS
The broad pH compatibility of Carbopol Ultrez 30 polymer enables the formulation of low pH systems containing acidic actives such as Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) or Beta Hydroxy Acids (BHAs) as well as other low pH (<4.5) ingredients. Use in combination with nonionic thickeners is recommended for specific challenging systems at pH 4.0 and below.
