Link between lifeboat and davit
Locking arm for linkTo open hook, torsion arm must be pushed 130degree, normally this is done by teleflexcable connected to a release unit placed near by the helmsman’s seat
When torsion arm is turned to open position, pipelock will open and hook is free to release, (see next slide)
During training and maintenance on boat and hook, extra safety pin is used to secure the hook in closed position

SHIELD - Total Safety Program
• A long term program for annual inspections and maintenance according to MSC/Circ.1206, recorded in SHIELD
• SHIELD - Intranet database to control and follow up data on the LSA products fitted on the vessel
• The SHIELD database is a WEB based solution and can be accessesd by clients, who have signed a fleet service agreement with Schat-Harding
• Documentation for 1 & 5 years control, in compliance with IMO-MSC/Circl.1206
• SHIELD for easier service reporting and tracking
TRAINING & AUTHORISATION
• Training and Authorization program, established in 2004, according to new IMO – MSC.1/Circ.1206 (incorporating MSC/Circ.1093)
AFTERSALES & SERVICE
• SOLAS Mandatory 1 & 5 years control from your Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).
• World wide service from your nearest SH facility or certified SH service Partner.
• Approved check list for davit, winch, lifeboat and release gear.
• Certificate of Serviceability issued after final inspection and approval.
SPARE PARTS PROGRAMME
• Spare part programme with genuine spare parts for all products and brands.• 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, world wide service from your nearest Schat-Harding or
certified SH service Partner facilities .
