The General Assembly,

Reaffirming its resolution 63/281 of 11 June 2009 regarding climate change and its possible environmental implications,

Deeply concerned about the threats of climate change including global warming and rising of sea levels,

Fully aware that mankind is a part of nature and life depends on the uninterrupted supply of energy and nutrients,

Highly alarmed by the over-exploitation of fossil fuels and its effects on the environment,

1. Recognizes the significance of natural resources and biodiversity in the environment;

2. Strongly condemns the over-exploitation of fossil fuels and its serious effects on the atmosphere;

3. Requests all member nations to systematically reduce their dependencies on fossil fuels;

4. Further requests all member nations to take into account the World Charter of Nature for resource conservation;

5. Supports the exploration and research of alternative energy sources;

6. Calls upon governments to regulate their greenhouse gas outputs and to place limits on CO2 emissions;

7. Expresses its hope for the checking of global warming and a world free of pollution.
