THE PROGRAM The Jake Jabs Center offers an affordable undergraduate certificate program in one of the fastest growing business segments in the country—innovation and entrepreneurship. This undergraduate certificate is intended for non-degree students who want to expand their business knowledge and give themselves a competitive advantage when they enter the work force. Students with a high school diploma can also enroll in the certificate program. All courses are taught by faculty from the Jake Jabs Center, many of whom are prominent entrepreneurs in the Denver business community. Therefore, the focus of this education is both academic and experiential. As a student of the Center, you will have access to scholarships, mentoring, student consulting opportunities, and speaker and networking events outside of your regular class hours. Students do not need to be accepted to the CU Denver Business School to earn this certificate. There are no GPA requirements or prerequisites. Credit earned as a part of the certificate counts toward your undergraduate degree, should you choose to pursue one with the Business School. COURSE REQUIREMENTS Students receive the entrepreneurship certificate by taking three required courses and one elective course from the list below. Students do not need to be accepted to the CU Denver Business School to earn this certificate, but must register as non-degree students. THE CLIMB | Jake Jabs Business Plan Competition – All CU Denver students are invited to submit their business ideas to THE CLIMB. This semi-annual event offers networking opportunities, workshops, and monetary awards for aspiring entrepreneurs.

Speaker Events – The Jake Jabs Center hosts a variety of events each semester to give networking and learning opportunities to students interested in starting a business or joining a startup.
