What happens (hopefully) on January 1st?
− Joint Market areas for transport instead of point-to-point transports and control area transports (=domestic)
− Additional system administrators in the transmission system
− Third party access:
− Entry-Exit instead of point-to-point
− Back-pack principle for final customers still “applicable” (up to the VTP)
− Balance groups also in the transmission system – unbalanced nomination
− Changes to the tariff system – regulator’s cost added to transit;
− Exit from transmission area being paid by consumer collective
− SSOs paying their share

GCA taking new approaches to marketing �
− Automated en/ex marketing on FCFS basis from 1 Jan. 2013 onwards (OCB®+)
− Participation in the European Platform Initiative �− Standardised marketing tool at European level, due for launch on
1 April 2013
− Capacity marketing by means of auctions in accordance with the CAM Network Code
− Option of marketing “bundled capacity” at cross-border interconnection points
− Development costs shared with participating TSOs
− Active role in designing the future customer portal

Contract changes
Transformation under section 170(6) Natural Gas Act 2011�
− Existing transportation contracts amended
− Separate capacity reservations at en/ex points in lieu of booked P2P capacity
− System users required to pay rates established by order at these points
− Amendments do not entitle parties to terminate contracts
− Transition will as far as possible be automated following a customer information drive
