Teachers without prior public school experience will be placed on step 1, column 1. Employees move only one step per year. Unit members who work at least 75% of the total regular work days shall advance one step. Effective July 1, 2001, unit members who work less than 75% of the regular work day, but at least .50 FTE, that service will count for step advancement every two years. Effective July 1, 2001, unitmembers who work less than 75% of the regular work day, but at least .50 FTE, that service will count for step advancementevery two years. For unit members who work less than 50% of the regular work days, that service will not count forstep advancement.
