Writing a storyTIPSTIPS

When you write a story, you should give as many details as possible and put things in order. Before you start writing, you need to do the following.

Think about the story you want to tell.

Make a list of all the things that happen.

Put numbers next to all the things in the order they occur.

Think about the purpose and focus of your story. Why are you telling the story?

Add details and specific information. Tell the reader what things look like and what people say.

Organise your story by writing one paragraph for each of the things on your list.
