Algebraic Expression

A mathematical phrase involving at least one variable and sometimes numbers and operation symbols

Algebraic expressions do not contain equal signs

Examples: 6x + 7, + 1

Arithmetic Expression

An expression that represents a numeric value.

Example: 3 + 5 = 8
