Para la puesta en prctica en el aula de la presente unidad didctica integrada necesitaremos dos semanas de clases y las horas

semanales correspondientes a cada una de las materias implicadas. Los contenidos se plasmarn en una secuencia de situaciones de

enseanza-aprendizaje y en la realizacin de actividades que acompaan a la presentacin de conceptos tericos previos por partedel profesor, siguiendo de este modo el patrn presentacin-tarea.

METODOLOGA

En todo momento fomentaremos una metodologa activa y participativa, en que el alumno es el verdadero protagonista delproceso de enseanza-aprendizaje. Asimismo, construiremos entre todos un aprendizaje significativo y por descubrimientoenque el alumnado no es mero receptor, sino partcipe activo de su propio conocimiento. El ingls ser la principal herramienta detrabajo y gestin en el aulaen la transmisin y adquisicin de los contenidos propios de las ANL, aunque no se descarta bajoningn concepto el empleo de la lengua materna y de la segunda lengua extranjera (francs) en los casos en que seaimprescindible dotar al alumnado de la terminologa especfica de las distintas disciplinas. El visitante desatendido

Con la sensacin de que alguien lo miraba insistentemente, se despert. En efecto, allado izquierdo de la cama se hallaba sentado un hombre, algo mayor, de aspecto irreprochable.El forro, que algn ligero movimiento dejaba adivinar, era de seda roja. Sobre su rodilladerecha, un sombrero, en cuya ala reposaba un par de guantes grises. Sus manos se apoyaban enel puo de plata de un esbelto paraguas, y el mentn, firme y bien afeitado, descansaba sobre lasmanos. La atencin con que observaba a Mario era tanta, y tal la fijeza de su mirada, que

pareca que, habiendo dejado de contemplarlo, se hallaba ensimismado.

Quin es usted? Qu hace aqu?grit Mario.

Buenas nochesmurmur el visitante.

Quin es usted?volvi a preguntar, sobrecogido, Mario, no bien seguro de habersedespertado.

Extrajo de su bolsillo interior una pitillera de plata y encendi un cigarrillo. Unabocanada de humo azulado lleg a la nariz de Mario. ste quiso alcanzar el conmutador de laluz. Una mano larga y firme se lo impidi.

No lo haga. No es necesario.

Usted no da la impresin de ser un hombre corriente, de carne y hueso. Ni siquieraparece un ladrn.

Ah, qu vaguedades dice usted. Cre que la conversacin iba a resultar mucho msinteresante. Por lo que veo, no distingue muy bien lo real de lo soado. Cuando hay algo que noha visto nunca, prefiere creer que suea. Algo confuso y usted se dice: despertar; algo que lemolesta y usted dice: pasar. Adems, hasta ahora siempre pens ser alguien perfectamentecorrecto.

Mario, con las manos en la cabeza, exclam:

depende de este pequeo y enloquecido reloj mo. Y mostraba a Mario un aparatito minsculocubierto con una tapa de laca negra al accionar un oculto resorte. Los franceses prosiguison tan lgicos. Cuando Mario abri los ojos, la habitacin estaba sola.

Al sentarse en la cama y poner los pies en el suelo, vio sobre la alfombra, cado, un parde guantes de un gris no demasiado oscuro. En realidad, no supo qu hacer con l: no era de sumedida.

Lo encontraron encima de la mesilla de noche, al mismo tiempo que el cadver deMario, unos das despus. De la autopsia se dedujo que haba fallecido de una muerteabsolutamente natural.

A continuacin, nos adentraremos en el estudio de dos poemas del clebre poetalocal Joaqun Marn Almenara, sobrino del tambin insigne poeta Bartolom Almenara.Joaqun Marn ha ejercido como docente en el CEIP lvaro Cecilia Moreno de Fernn

Nez hasta su jubilacin, hace apenas dos aos. En la actualidad, se dedica de lleno al

mundo de la creacin literaria. Su ltimo libro, titulado El color de los das, vio la luzen junio de 2010. En l rinde homenaje tanto a su pueblo natal, Fernn Nez, como ala tierra andaluza en general. Los poemas seleccionados forman parte de la obramencionada y constituyen una muestra representativa de dicho poemario, que rezuma

belleza, ternura, nostalgia y, a la vez, alegra.

It isthe most populous (8,370,975 inhabitants in 2010) and the second largest, in terms of land area,of the 17 autonomous communities of the Kingdom of Spain. Its capital and largest city isSeville. The region is divided into eight provinces: Huelva, Seville, Cdiz, Crdoba, Mlaga,Jan, Granada and Almera.

Since the Industrial Revolution, Andalusia has been an economically poor region in comparisonwith the rest of Spain and the European Union at large. However, the growth of the communityespecially in the sectors of industry and services was above average in Spain and higher thanmany communities in the eurozone. The region has, however, a rich culture and a strong culturalidentity. Many cultural phenomena that are seen internationally as distinctively Spanish are

largely or entirely Andalusian in origin. These include flamenco, bullfighting, and certainMoorish-influenced architectural styles.

The territory now known as Andalusia fellwithin the sphere of influence of ancientMediterranean civilizations. Phoeniciancolonization brought the cult of Melqart; itcontinued in Roman times as Hercules,mythical founder of both Cdiz and Seville.

The Islote de Sancti Petri held the supposedtomb of Hercules, with representations ofhis Twelve labors; the region was thetraditional site of the tenth labor, obtainingthe cattle of the monster Geryon.Traditionally, the Pillars of Hercules flankthe Strait of Gibraltar. Clearly, theEuropean pillar is the Rock of Gibraltar; theAfrican pillar was presumably either Monte

Hacho in Ceuta or Jebel Musa in Morocco.The Roman road that led from Cdiz toRome was known by several names, one ofthem was Via Herculea, Hercules wayreturning from his tenth labor. The presentcoat of arms of Andalusia shows Hercules

between two lions, with two pillars behindthese figures.

Andalusia has a lot of social customs, many of which have their origin in Islamic traditionsEach area in Andalusia has its own unique customs that are a combination of Catholicism andlocal folklore. Traditional dress in all areas of Andalusia is colorful. Cities like Almeria areinfluenced by both Granada and Murcia, with the use of traditional hats. In Cadiz costumes insociety often show rural origin with bullfights and big parties. The tablado flamenco and thecante jondo originate from Granada. They have their origin in oriental, Gregorian, Moorish, andJewish music. Presently this music is performed by gypsies. Gypsies are more common inGranada than anywhere else in Spain. In Huelva, one of the most important events is theRomeria del Rocio in May. It is a pilgrimage to a statue of the Virgin Mary, which wassupposedly hidden from the Muslims. Legend says that when it was rediscovered and moved theVirgin asked to be returned to the woods. In Jaen, the saeta is a type of expression popular in theregion. It is a form of chanting to the Virgin Mary, which shows religious devotion. Malaga, isthe birthplace of Spanish bull-fighting. The region also has a rich musical tradition that comes

from Arab songs. Seville holds the Semana Santa, the largest festival in Spain. During the

festival, religious fraternities dress as penitents carrying big altars. Overall, all the regions ofAndalusia have developed different customs, but all are connected to Catholicism and theregions Arabic cultural past.

Agony aunt

One of the most popular and common activities to practise the modal verb should are situationsin which people ask for advice. Many people in Andalusia have agony aunts. They are a

typical section in British newspapers (sometimes called Dear Abby columns in NorthAmerica).

Each student must write about a problemthey have (real or imaginary) that theywould like advice on. Students should writethese problems on a slip of paper, but notwrite their name. The teacher collects allthe slips of paper and puts the students intogroups of four. Give each group fourproblems at random. Tell them to select

two and give advice to the writer abouttheir problem (including modal verbs suchas should, shouldnt etc). When groupshave finished, ask them to read out the

problem and the advice.

"NO8DO" is the official motto and one of the many legends of Seville. The legend has left itsmark in the city because you can find NO8DO on a lot of places from the caps of the municipalsewer and water system, to buses, taxis and monuments. The motto is a combination of theSpanish syllables (NO and DO) and a drawing in betweenthe figure "8". The figure representsa skein of yarn, or in Spanish, a "madeja". When read aloud, "No madeja do" sounds like "No

3. Qu'est-ce que le flamenco? Quelles sont ses origines? Lis le texte suivantpour dcouvrir de nouvelles informations et rponds aux questionsproposes.

Pour comprendre le flamenco, il faut le considrer comme un Art. Cette musique

magique a apparu en Andalousie partir de la fusion de nombreuses cultures qui y ont

vecu ensemble en harmonie au long de sicles: arabe, juive, chrtienne et gitane.

Cependant, la vritable origine de cette musique se trouve dans le peuple qui l'a

conserve et transmise, c'est--dire le peuple Gitan. Les Gitans, originaires de l'Inde,

ont conserv de larges franges de leur culture d'origine, comme la langue (le Cal) et la

musique. Certains historiens considrent que les Gitans par nomadisme, ont fortement

contribu la diffusion du flamenco en arrivant en Espagne, au dbut du XVesicle. Ils

n'ont pas t seulement les diffuseurs de cet art, mais les importateurs du sentiment du

flamenco, dont la source est indienne, pour la danse et pour la musique.

Les trois lments qui composent le flamenco sont le chant, la technique des

guitaristes et la danse. Le chant doit tre toujours profond avec beaucoup de sentiment.

La technique des guitaristes de flamenco est compltement diffrente, ils croissent lesjambes et placent la guitare sur la jambe plus lve, la manche en parallle avec le

sol. Finalement, la danse peut accompagner toutes les formes traditionnelles de

flamenco.

Le flamenco consiste en un certain nombre de formes traditionnelles (et d'autres

plus modernes), qui ont des structures rythmiques et musicales diffrentes. Le rythme

(comps) est sans doute la caractristique la plus importante pour distinguer les

diffrentes formes du flamenco. Les pices sont composes de plusieurs phrases ou

falsetas qui montrent une sensation intense, rythmique dfinie par la forme principale

du morceau accompagn de la guitare flamenca.

NERVOUS SYSTEM AND ENDOCRINE SYSTEM IN THE CONTEXT OF

ANDALUSIA

NEURONS

The human body is made up of trillions of cells. Cells of the nervous system called nerve cells

or neurons, are specialized to carry messages through an electrochemical process. The human

brain has approximately 100 billion neurons.

- Node of Ranvier is a small area between Schwann cells on an axon that is unmyelinatedor uncovered.

- Myelin: soft, white, fatty material that forms a sheath around the axons of most neurons.Neurons come in many different shapes and size. Neurons are similar to other cells in the body

because:

1. Neurons are surrounded by a cell membrane.

2. Neurons have a nucleus that contains genes.

3. Neurons contain cytoplasm, mitochondria and other organelles.

4. Neurons carry out basic cellular processes such as protein synthesis and energy productions.

However, neurons differ from other cells in the body because:

1. Neurons have specialized extensions called dendrites and axons. Dendrites bringinformation to the cell body and axons take information away from the cell body.

2. Neurons communicate with each other through and electrochemical process.3. Neurons contain some specialized structures (for example, synapses) and chemicals (for

example, neurotransmitters).

Neurons can be classified by the direction that they send information.

a) Sensory (or afferent) neurons: send information from sensory receptors (e.g., in skin,

eyes, nose) TOWARD the central nervous system.

b) Motor (or efferent) neurons: send information AWAY from the central nervous

system to muscles or glands.

c) Interneuron: send information between sensory neurons and motors neurons. Most

interneurons are located in the central nervous system.

There are several differences between axons and dendrites:

AXONS.

- Take information away from the cell body.- Smooth surface.- Generally only 1 axon per cell.- No ribosomes.- Can have myelin.- Branch further from the cell body.

DENDRITES.

- Bring information to the cell body.- Rough surface.- Usually many dendrites per cell.- Have ribosomes.- No myelin insulation.- Branch near the cell body.

The nervous system is divided into the CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM and PERIPHERAL

NERVOUS SYSTEM.

- The central nervous system is divided into the brain and the spinal cord. The adult human

brain weighs 1,3 to 1,4 Kg. The brain contains about 100 billion neurons. The spinal cord isabout 43 cm long in adult women and 45 cm long in adult men.

The brain is divided into two halves, called hemispheres. Each hemisphere communicates with

the other through the corpus callosum, a large band of neurons.

Brain structures:

a) Cerebrum: Largest part of braininvolved with conscious perception,

voluntary actions, language,

reasoning, memory, thought and

personality. In the cerebrum there is

a part called cerebral cortex

surrounds the hemispheres.

Functions: movement, balance and

posture.

b) Cerebellum: The word cerebellumcomes from the Latin word for

little brain. The cerebellum is

located behind the brain stem. Insome ways, the cerebellum is

similar to the cerebral cortex; it is

divides into hemispheres and has a

cortex that surrounds these

hemispheres.

c) Brain stem: The brain stem is ageneral term for the area of the

brain between the thalamus and

spinal cord. Functions: breathing,

heart rate, blood pressured) Hypothalamus: The hypothalamus

is composed of several different

areas and is located at the base of

the brain. The hypothalamus acts as

a thermostat by sensing changes

in body temperature. For example,

if too are too hot, the hypothalamus

detects this and then sends a signalto expand the capillaries in your

skin. The hypothalamus also

controls the pituitary. Others

functions: emotions, hunger,

thirst

e) Thalamus: The thalamus receivessensory information and relays this

information to the cortex.

Functions: movement, sensory

processing.

The peripheral nervous system are the 12 pairs of cranial nerves and 31 pairs of spinal nerves.

The peripheral nervous system is divided into the somatic nervous system and the autonomic

nervous system. In the peripheral nervous system, neurons can be functionally divided in three

ways:

- Sensory(afferent) carry information INTO the central nervous system from sense organsor motor (efferent) carry information away from the central nervous system(for muscle

control)

- Cranial, connects the brain with the periphery or spinal-connects the spinal cord withthe periphery.

- Somatic, connects the skin or muscle with the central nervous system or visceral-connects the internal organs with the central nervous system.

-The Sympathetic nervous system is a division of the autonomic nervous system that controls

involuntary activities that help the body respond to stressful situations

-Parasympathetic nervous system is a division of the autonomic nervous system that controls

involuntary activities that keep the body running smoothly under normal, everyday conditions.
