Mei Lanfang was the most famous Peking Opera artist, master of the Mei school in China. Born in the family of famous Peking Opera actors in Beijing on October 22,1894, he began studying Peking Opera at 8 . Because of his hardwork , he first played on stage at 11.

He combined acting, singing and dancing in one performance so that the Beijing Opera became more colorful, Mr. Mei devoted all his life to his Peking Opera career, he created many beautiful and unforgettable images in his performance life, developing his own unique performing style——the Mei school. At the same time, he contributed a lot to the cultural exchange between China and other countries.
