PROVINCES
• A province is a group of communities relaed by geography and history
• In Spain there are fifty provinces
(Villages, towns and cities are communities. DON´T MISTAKE
COMMUNITIES WITH AUTONOMOUS COMMUNITIES)
AUTONOMOUS COMMUNITIES
• An Autonomous Community is a group of provinces related by
geography, history and language
• In Spain there are seventeen Autonomous Communities

Each Autonomous Community has a CAPITAL and a GOVERNMENT which
make decisions about the autonomous community.

We have the right to go to the doctor, use the bus, train or metro.
EDUCATION
We have the right to an education: there are nurseries, schools,
universities, etc.
WORK
Everyone have the right to have a job
OBLIGATIONS
The society helps us with services, such as…
and we enjoy some rights, so we have some
obligations to society.
RESPECT PUBLIC WELFARE
Respect the environment and public facilities: streets, gardens, beaches…
CONTRIBUTE TO MAINTAIN PUBLIC SERVICES
Contribute economically to public services by paying our taxes
COLLABORATE IN WELLBEING AND SECURITY
Respect the rules of the State
RESPECT the political, cultural and religious ideas
of other people
