Minute: 5 to 20-30 Warm-up activities/ have students get flags on after 1st activity
4 person push-ups, have students get into groups of 4 and perform a 4 person push-up. I plan to
give little to no instruction and allow this to be a critical thinking/ team builder to figure out how
to perform 5 push-ups IF there is an odd number group can try a 5 person push-up.
Have everyone put on flags
Flag tag, have 2 people “IT” everyone else lined up across the gym on one wall. Object to run
across the gym to the other without your flag being pulled. If your flag gets pulled they join the
“Its” Last person standing wins.
Minute: 20-30 to 25-35
Have the students get into their teams already determined. Spread back out and work on plays
again without a defense they must huddle up before every play.
Minute 25-35 to 28-38
Remind/Refresh/ have students recite some rules (offside’s, holding, pass interference, false
start, how we are starting the games, or restarting play after a score)
Minute 28-38 to minute 75
Play a full game(s) of football. If short on people make the field smaller and use cones to show
where the end zone is. If an abundant of players, use both sides of the field to have 3 games at
once using cones again to symbolize the end zone. Have them rotate fields to pay different
teams.
Minute 75 to 85
Send students to locker room to prepare for next class
