By judging others we blind ourselves to our own evil and

to the grace which others are just as entitled to as we are.

With Gerrymandered districts, voter suppression and

All Church Weekend (AKA the Retreat)

In the month of April, the UU classes will be joined by

Bill Baker and other members of the Baha’i faith to

share information about their faith as part of our world

religions unit. If you want to learn more, here are some

resources:

• Check out the Baha’i tote bag from the DRE.

• Visit the official website of the Baha’i international

community. http://www.bahai.org

• Borrow a copy of the Usborne Encyclopedia of

World Religions from the DRE library.

• The community teaches several character-building/

virtue classes for youth. https://

www.virtuesproject.com/homepage.html

• Talk to Bill Baker, a member of our community, if

you have questions. He will be leading “Time for All

Ages” today.

Although sometimes lately the weather has given us con-

flicting clues, spring has indeed sprung! We are looking

forward to getting outdoors and having fun. Here is a list

of some fun activities to get ideas rolling.

Spring bucket list ideas for families:

-get out the rain boots and splash in muddy pud-

dles

-find a nice picnic spot and eat outdoors

-crush weeds and herbs and enjoy their aroma

-fly a kite

-go to a farmer's market

-watch chicks hatch

-collect wildflowers

-make mud pies

-spend the afternoon at the zoo

-find a four leaf clover

-stargaze

-go on a hike and skip rocks if you find water

-go bird watching

-watch a sunrise

-hand wash the car

There is something infinitely healing in the in the repeat-ed refrains of nature- the assurance that dawn comes after night and spring after winter.

-Rachel Carson
