    ANSWERS1. (i) A Railway ACcidentDisaster in railway network occurs very rare. The accident in rail

    ways takes place du e to wrong signalling, insufficient visibility, improper level crossing etc. An y railwa y accident causes great loss oflife and property . Once I wa s travelling to Delhi by the BrahmaputraMail. Suddenly, a loud explosionrent my ears. Our compartmentjolted. Th e train came to a suddenhalt. We rushed out. The engine andth e three bogies had ploughed intoth e fields. Some of th e people werecrying. Others were shouting forhelp. People from all th e remainingcompartments rushed for help. Inth e meantime, people from th e adjoining villages also gathered.Teams of doctors also arrived. Theygave first aid to tl}e injured. Someof th e injured were dragged out ofth e smashed bogies. Some of themseriously injured were sent tonearby hospital. They were carriedin ambulance vans. I t was a veryhorrible sight. The government co mpensated to those wh o lost theirlives and were injured. A team ofcormnittee wa s formed to survey th ecause of accident which revealedthat it was due to wrong signalling.(ii) National Integration

    Indian is a land of varied cu lture , religion, customs mannersand behaviour. We call ourself Indians but we lack the spirit ofunity . National Integration is th emost important problem that Indiais facing today. National integration means a feeling ofoneness and' unity and subordinate our narrowconsiderations to national interest,we might lose our independence. Weshould try to cement all th e Indianpeople into a single nation . Weshould leave considerations ofcaste, language and religion . OurStates are like the limbs and persons like th e muscles of motherIndia . There is no mechanical orchemical way of bringing aboutnatio11al integration. I t must growout of th e people. The only meansto achieve this lies in giving a fairdeal to coinmon man. We s hould. form a sense of respect among our - ,

    selves and enhance th e feeling ofpatriotism,. We should maintainthe sense of fraternity and universa l brotherhood to carry out national feeling and integrity for ourmotherland .(iii) Work is WorshipHuman beings live in theirdeeds alone. Whatever a persondoes throughout his whole life, isremembered by al l after his death.So, work is th e principal factor inour life. Worship makes us nobleand pious, work builds up ou r character. A worker earns his living byhonest labour. An idle dependsupon others. He becomes a parasite. Rest is rust. Greatness comesin life by hard work. Religionteaches us to earn our livelihoodby labour. Only they worship Godwh o take delight in work. Tagore held that Go d does not live intemples. He lives in stone breakerswh o work in sun and rain at th eroad. I t was only work that bringspeace of mind. It is only work thatbrings glory. I t is only work thatbrings salvation. Working With full devotion and honesty brings usgood result. We must be cheerfulWith our work we do . Work is th eultimate goal in our life and weshall be remembered as to ou r deedsand actions when we Will be nomore in this world. Thus, we shouldconsider our work as worshippingHim .(iv) A Thunder StormA very grand sight in Nature iscalled a thunderstorm In India,thunderstorm are very common atth e beginning and at th e end of th emonsoons. We had seen a grandthunderstorm yesterday. For day'stogether we had not blasts ofwind.Day after d ay th e blazing sun rosein th e sky, and th e earth cloudsforming in the sky. The air was verystill. Everything seemed to be calm.I t was calm before th e storm. It wasa signal for the storm to burst. Afte r sometime th e storm came. Whenit carne, th e sky was overcast Withdark clouds. The flashes of lightingleaped in the heavens. After 10 or20 minutes a cool Wind began toblow. It smelt of rain. Gradually theroll of thunder be came louder, th eflashes of lightning became clearer

    an d brighter. Th e wind rose to agale: th e clouds raced swiftly'acrossth e sky: th e sharp showers beganto fall; the storm had come. Nowthe storm rose to its fury. Therewere cont inuous flashes orlightining in th e sky. There was atremendous crash of thunder. Therain poured down in torments . Astrong Wind blew and rocked th etrees violently to an fro. .2.
