DESCRIPTION
The adventures of the famous private detective are back in fashion thanks to British director Guy Ritchie (also known as Madonna’s ex husband). His latest film "Sherlock Holmes" comes out in France on the 3rd of February 2010 with Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law. Conan Doyle, who created the character back in 1887 tells the fantastic tales of the famous Londoner for about four decades writing 56 novels and 4 fictions works. Nowadays it all comes to 160 films, theatre plays, television or radio plays dedicated to the fictional character. And it is still possible to follow in the footsteps of the author and the famous detective throughout London...

You canvisit the sets of the film such as St Paul’s Cathedral, St-Bartholomewthe Great Church…, try the hotels and restaurants which ConanDoyle used to go to, go shopping in century old umbrella hats orleather goods shops… which Sherlock Holmes could well havevisited (Lock & Co., Swaine Adeney Brigg, James Smith and Sons...).The visit ends with the Sherlock Holmes Museum at 221b BakerStreet. And last but not least, one for the road at the SherlockHomes pub in honour of the 80 years of the disappearance of ConanDoyle.
