WHAT WE’RE FIGHTING FORIntergenerational poverty looms as our region’s greatest challenge. More than 705,000 adults and children throughout Greater Philadelphia and southern New Jersey struggle to break free from the cycle of poverty every single day. This includes more than 55,000 children in our south Jersey communities -- often ranked among the highest in child poverty rates in the state. Poverty determines a child’s educational experiences, healthcare, nutrition and life expectancy.

At United Way, we Live United against poverty by fighting for the success of every child and the stability of every family in the communities that we serve. Every event, every gift, every hour we spend serving our community together, helps us win.
