Parking at Henderson Hall

Self-serve pay machines and parking spaces on the east side of the lot in front of Henderson Hall (W10) are available for APL-UW visitors. The automated pay station is located in the NE corner of the lot. Parking is $3/hr (credit cards and coins only) with no limit on the number hours you may park. Vehicles parked in any other parking spaces in W10 will be subject to a citation.

Visitors may also purchase parking from the UW gatehouse located at 15th Ave. and Stevens Way. The parking specialist will assign you to the lot closest to your destination. Please ask about disability parking and building access information if needed. Gatehouse permits are sold via a pay-on-entry system. When you purchase a permit at a gatehouse, you’ll be asked how long you will be on campus, and you will pay for that amount of time in advance. Your permit will show an expiration time. After that time, the vehicle will be subject to a citation.

Between 6 am and 4 pm on weekdays, gatehouse permits are sold at a rate of $3/hr ($2 for the first 30 minutes) and a maximum of $15/day. Beginning at 4 pm, permits are sold at a flat rate of $5 for night parking. A flat weekend rate of $5 is charged for parking on Saturdays from 7 am to noon.

Campus parking may be paid with cash or a Visa/MasterCard. Complimentary parking is available on weekdays from 9 pm until 6 am, and on weekends from noon on Saturdays until 6 am Monday mornings in unrestricted lots. Parking is also complimentary on state holidays in unrestricted lots. Please adhere to all posted restrictions.

Driving to APL-UW

APL-UW staff work in five (5) buildings on the University of Washington campus. Written driving directions are given to Henderson Hall. Map-based directions are provided for driving and walking routes between Henderson Hall and other APL-UW facilities.
