Bye Bye Babe

On Friday7 February we farewelled Melitona Cosham aka ‘Babe’ who has worked as a cleaner at our school for over 20 years. Babe is taking a period of extended leave and it is unlikely she will return to work. We would like to thank Babe for her commitment and hard work over such a long period and wish her all the very best for the future.

We will all miss her very much!

We will miss our Babe

Head Lice

Additional information has been sent home today regarding head lice. Please take the time to read it and take action as appropriate. Thank you for your support in this matter.

Pick Up and Drop Off

Thank you to all parents who pick up and drop off children on time each day. There will be times where lateness occurs and we are very understanding of special circumstances. If parents could follow the following protocols this would be appreciated:

If children are late to school please accompany them to the office to sign them in

If you need to pick up a child early please come to the office first to sign them out

If any pick up arrangements change please advise the office by 2:30pm at the latest

Please avoid bringing dogs into the school grounds

P&C Meeting ‘Meet & Greet’

Monday 24 February at 4pm The P&C would like to welcome everyone back and welcome all new students and families to the school. Our first meeting for 2020 will be held at 4pm in the library where you'll have an opportunity to meet the P&C Executives and Mr Nichols, our fantastic principal. This is an informal setting where you can find out what exciting things are on the agenda for the coming school year. Everyone is welcome including children.

A big ‘Thank You’ for you help The P&C would like to thank Byron Ross in Banora Point who has generously offered to help us audit our accounts at a very favorable rate to help support our school.

We would also like to thank Butlers Accountants in Coolangatta who, though they do not do auditing at their firm, generously offered a donation to aid in the cost of the audit.

Canteen Volunteers Our School Canteen will continue to be open on Wednesday and Friday this year. As our Canteen is purely volunteer run, we need as many helpers as possible to keep things running. This is a great way to be involved in the school and the kids just love to see someone they know behind the counter helping out. If you are able to help in any capacity, you can leave your name at the office or drop in on a Wednesday or Friday to speak with Robyn our Canteen Coordinator.

Build Club Build club are asking for boxes for this year’s club. If you have any spare at home it would be greatly appreciated. You can drop them off at the office. Thank you.
