An Update From Andrea... Update #1 Aloha from Kailua-Kona Hawaii! Can you believe that I get to call this place home for the next three months!?!! It is truly an honor and a privilege to have the opportunity to serve the Lord here in this beautiful place and I wouldn’t be here without you! So THANK YOU to everyone that has been so generous in helping to get me here!! I am already having so much fun and enjoying im- mensely the beauty of God’s creation on this stunning island. There is so much to fill you in on so consider this my very first update. Below I will share with you what it’s like to live here on the University of Nations Cam- pus, a small portion of what I’ve learned in the classroom, where God is taking me from here, and how you can partner with me. First, living here on the University of Na- tions campus has been amazing! For those of you who don’t know what that is, it is Youth With A Mission’s (YWAM’s) main campus with people from all over the world living here. A few of my favorite places on campus include the library, a small trendy coffee shop, and of course the prayer room (which happens to be the only place on campus with air conditioning ). There is never a dull (or quiet) moment here on campus as several Discipleship Training Schools as well as many other secondary schools are running here at the same time. When you step out of your dorm room door it is not un- common to hear several different languages being spoken or to see someone praying over someone else. The love of Jesus is so present on every part of campus and I adore the com- munity that comes with living here. Secondly, I don’t even know where to being with what I have learned since arriving here two and a half weeks ago. There are so many good things that have been taught during our class time that I can only hope to give you a small glimpse into the amazing teaching that we are sitting under. One of the main things we’ve been learning since arriving here is how much God loves us. One of our speakers conveyed the importance of living  from  God’s love instead of getting caught up in living for  God’s love. Too often we try to work for God’s love out of the weakness of our flesh and we need to understand that God’s love is not condi- tional. He loves us fully and completely without us ever having to do a thing for Him. In fact before we even knew Him He showed His love for us by dying on the cross (Romans 5:8). All I can say is that it is an incredible feeling waking up each morning knowing that God loves me in fullness before my feet ever hit the ground! It is my prayer for you that as you read this God will give you an even greater revelation of His love for you. May your heart shift from the ways of living for His love into the ways of living from  His love!

An Update From Andrea...Update #1

Aloha from Kailua-Kona Hawaii! Can you believe that I get to call this place home for

the next three months!?!! It is truly an honor and a privilege to have the opportunity to serve

the Lord here in this beautiful place and I wouldn’t be here without you! So THANK YOU to

everyone that has been so generous in helping to get me here!! I am already having so much

fun and enjoying im- mensely the beauty of

God’s creation on this stunning island. There is

so much to fill you in on so consider this my very

first update. Below I will share with you what it’s

like to live here on the University of Nations Cam-

pus, a small portion of what I’ve learned in the

classroom, where God is taking me from here, and

how you can partner with me.

First, living here on the University of Na-

tions campus has been amazing! For those of you

who don’t know what that is, it is Youth With A

Mission’s (YWAM’s) main campus with people

from all over the world living here. A few of my favorite places on campus include the library,

a small trendy coffee shop, and of course the prayer room (which happens to be the only

place on campus with air conditioning ). There is never a dull (or quiet) moment here on

campus as several Discipleship Training Schools as well as many other secondary schools

are running here at the same time. When you step out of your dorm room door it is not un-

common to hear several different languages being spoken or to see someone praying over

someone else. The love of Jesus is so present on every part of campus and I adore the com-

munity that comes with living here.

Secondly, I don’t even know where to being with what I have learned since arriving

here two and a half weeks ago. There are so many good things that have been taught during

our class time that I can only hope to give you a small glimpse into the amazing teaching

that we are sitting under. One of the main things we’ve been learning since arriving here is

how much God loves us. One of our speakers conveyed the importance of living  from  God’s

love instead of getting caught up in living for  God’s love. Too often we try to work for God’s

love out of the weakness of our flesh and we need to understand that God’s love is not condi-

tional. He loves us fully and completely without us ever having to do a thing for Him. In fact

in fullness before my feet ever hit the ground! It is my prayer for you that as you read this

God will give you an even greater revelation of His love for you. May your heart shift from the

An Update From Andrea...Update #1

Third, I am excited to announce that during the first week of school here our OUT-

REACH LOCATIONS were announced! After they were announced we had 24hrs to pray and

ask God where He wanted us to go. Each student turned in their top three choices and then

our leadership team prayed over them before revealing where each of us are going. If you

haven’t already seen my reveal picture of where I am going here it is…

I am going to… NEW ZEALAND  and I

couldn’t be happier!!!!  There are eleven people on

my team (including my two leaders) and we are

mainly going to be work- ing with university students

(which is so my heart!!). We will be running a train-

ing school called “Circuit Riders” in hopes to equip

the young people in New Zealand to preach the gos-

pel and live Presence cen- tered lives. Along side of

this we will be hitting many major university

campuses and preaching the gospel. I truly believe

that God has divinely set up where He wants me to

go and I am so very honor that I get to be an ambas-

sador for Christ in one of the most BEAUTIFUL

places on earth!!

Fourth, in order to make it on my outreach to New Zealand I still need to raise an-

other $6,000 dollars. I know that God has called me for such a time as this to bring the good

news of the gospel to the young people in New Zealand and I am confident that the funds

that I need are going to be covered by my Heavenly Father! All I ask is that you take a minute

to ask the Lord if you are to give. If He says yes ask Him how much and be obedient. There

are several ways in which you can give. You can either send a check made out to ANDREA

RUFFING to my home address which is :

Andrea Ruffing

908 Lodgepole Place

Bellvue, CO 80512

OR you can give online via Paypal by clicking on the link below. All you need to give via Pay-

pal is my email address which is: [email protected]

Finally, I just want to take this opportunity again to say THANK YOU for all of your

love and support during this season of my life!! I continue to be blown away by God’s faith-

fulness to my heart as I step out in obedience to Him! Please feel free to contact me via face-

book or email to see how I am doing. Also if any of you would like my mailing address for

while I am here in Kona shoot me an email or a private message and I will gladly give it to

you (Getting packages and letters from home are like gold around here!). Love you all so very

much!!

For His Glory,

Andrea
