Many of us and many people you know need a new beginning. God is the God of second chances and God is the God of new beginnings. Have you ever wished you could go back and start over? Maybe because of an unpleasant situation of your own making. If only you could take the words back that you said, if only you could make different choices. Sadly, in most cases, it is impossible to go back and change what has been said or done. There is, however, one area of your life that you can have a new beginning: Your spiritual life can have a fresh new start! Whatever you need today to get your spiritual life where God wants you just ask, seek, desire, and pray? God specializes in New Beginnings. You need to realize or remember that God created you for His own purposes. Our usefulness comes from being in His hands. The Master Potter knows how to create what He designed you for, what He purposes, what He desires, what He is crafting you for. He knows what needs to happen to turn you into a vessel of His glory used to bring Him glory. Before our clay is in the hands of the Master it is simply a lump, not good for much of anything. But once God has worked it and shaped it, it becomes His masterpiece. Do you desire to be His masterpiece? I would also like to give a shout out to the small group Cindy and I meet with. Last mouth we were able to ring the bell for the Salvation Army. They help us throughout the year with people who come to WestWay in need. This is a good mission as 80% of all funds collected stay in our community. Wishing all a great 2015.

Welcome to the Body of Christ
You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23 to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. (Eph 4:22-24 NIV) These are Paul’s words to the Ephesian Christians, and he is exhorting them to not live and think like the world around them, but to put on the new self and think like God. As we start a new year we think about putting off the old habits and doing something different and new, actually it is something that we need to think about everyday. The good news is that we don’t have to do it on our own; we have the power of the Holy Spirit to help us put off the old self and put on the new self. So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature (Gal 5:16 NIV). Happy New Year! Scott Nikont for the last six years has served this body as our office manager; December 31st will be Scotts last day filling that capacity. Thank you Scott for serving this body, we look forward to continuing to minister to you and with you. Things are changing with the New Year approaching. Be praying that God will be glorified and that the gospel message of Jesus Christ will be proclaimed through out Scotts Bluff county and through the world. Praising Him, Jesus Christ, Willie
