Welcome to this month’s Glo Update, in it you will find everything you need to know about the coming month of September.

This new season see’s the launch of our new theme ‘Ambition’ exploring how to live ambitiously for the Kingdom of God and the message of Jesus.

In the words of Paul in the Bible, “So let us make it our ambition to please him.” We will journey together what it truly means to live ambitiously in lifestyle, mission and prayer.

Ambition can be frowned upon when misunderstood, but every person who has had an encounter with Jesus should make it their ambition to know him, follow him and live in him... to pursue the ultimate ambition of being more like Christ in the world you live.

Expect moments of courage, challenge and a deep compelling to follow the Holy Spirit and his slight adjustments in our hearts as we discover new things and realise that God has an ambition for you.

Expect to hear different stories of lives caught up in God adventures that have captivated hearts, and in turn led people into radical ways of living that can only be described as ambitious for Jesus.

I for one am excited to get caught up in a series of learning, that will move me into a greater understanding of God’s hopes for me and plans he has created for me, I am excited at the idea that heaven’s ambitions can be lived out where I work, live and share life, and equally I am excited for you reading this as God takes us all on an adventure together.

Also this month, we have our good friends Tom and Suzie Brock visiting Glo, it’s been a little while since they have been with us, so again I am thrilled to know that they will be speaking into the life of Glo later this month.

And finally, let us not forget Alpha Banquets launch later in the month, a simple question for us all... Who am I going to invite?

The greatest gift any of us can give is an invitation to the possibility of an acquaintance encountering Jesus through an invitation.
